There are 13 teams with cap problems which means some of them will have to part ways with some players and among those players might be some young, in their 1st contract, D players that are better than what they can get at that 10 spot.

Teams that have to let players walk are in need of young affordable talent, just what that 10th pick could bring them.

The Cowboys are a D or F in FA and C in the draft but they've been an A in trades for players with Cooper and Quinn. I'd say they got more than the 1st pick value with Cooper.

They need immediate help on that D and bringing in a proven player with experience might just be the ticket.

I was going to add Lamb to this as prime trade bait for players or picks but I know how much some of you love him so.

They need to jump start the D build out and I see this as a better path to do that. What say you?

Absolutely yes to trade down but no to trading it for a player looking for a payday

We also need impact defensive players who are cheap

I would also trade Gallup if I can get a high 2

Bold is almost an oxymoron. They have cheap defensive players. Worth every dime they're paying them.

10th pick should be elite talent, or close to it. I don’t see a reason to trade it for a guy that is about to need a hefty contract when you could have the 10th pick on a rookie contract for 5 years.

it doesn’t make sense. Plus, if you trade for a guy that is a great player already, teams want more than 1 first for them, typically. See Adams going to Seattle.

No thanks, I’ll keep pick 10.

i'm not trading the 10th pick til i see whats on the board.
i'm inclined to keep it and trust your board.
Can't wait to do this until the board is evident. This has to be done prior to the draft.

Depends on what they need in cap space and what they want at that 10 spot that they'll give up to give the Cowboys the advantage.

Gallup is enough of an asset if you want to trade a wideout. You have to keep Lamb who is playing under an rookie contract for 3 more years plus 5th year option. I like the idea if we arent in love with the draft, but we also have our own cap to manage. Im not sure how realistic it is.

Always exceptions, but I’m not huge on spending high draft picks on players already in the league. Dishing out a high pick only to turn around and shell out a monster contract in a year or two typically isn’t a recipe for success.

the only way I’d support that move is if you’re team is truly a player away, and if you were really a player away you probably wouldn’t be drafting 10th.

WR's are plentiful and you're not getting much for Gallup.

The Saints are in cap trouble with a very good D and a QB most likely retiring. They might want that 10th pick for a QB?

fist off you all have this backwards given we have the higher sought after pick we dont include players or draft picks with the 10, we actually will get someone elses lower #1 and another high draft pick plus maybe an asset.

why would we have to trade an asset when we have the leverage..

we then take if necessary that other extra pick an package it to move up in the second say to go higher for better player
