i''ve hunted pheasants in mule shoe and ducks in lazbuddie. i love small, quaint texas towns.
Going to Eden in a few weeks for Axis, Oryx, Black buck. I go every year and drive the 2 lane roads from Denver just to avoid the bigger cities.

Well that's an interesting thing to say, when your employer is paying you $6 mil/year.
Of course Riley wasn't actually quoted, and at one point the article says this …

"...if he were interested in going to the NFL, it probably would be to go to the Dallas Cowboys …",

and even that wasn't represented as a quote from Riley.

Riley can walk down the street and ask Barry what it's really like to work for Jerry, and he would probably tell him that the job he is getting isn't as good as the one he is leaving...

I know. I should have phrased it as "would be", but I was speaking from a hypothetical sense, forgetting that people sometimes need to hear my tone of voice or see my facial expression. I suppose just putting it in quotations might have helped too. Ah well.

Money is the only motivator in any coach coming to work for the idiot JJ. He’s never gonna win anything with JJ large and in charge. JJ is a coach killer.

lincoln is close to stephen Jones . Stephen spent the night last year in norman with lincoln . Stephen brought his son as well who was being recruited as well. Stephen loves lincoln , but daddy wanted a proven SB winner . Lincoln loves the OU gig and loves the stability and working with the best AD out there ( Joe Castiglione) who has been AD since 1997. Oklahoma is a blue blood program and will compete for a NC every year almost.
LIncoln will be the next coach if Stephen is given that decision . Probably in 2 years when MM experiment is over and jerry gives in to Stephen .

i agree money is a big motivator for anyone accepting the Cowboy gig under Jerry, but the other one is having little or no other options. Just think about it. When was the last time Jerry hired a coach who was so much in demand? Could have his choice of any other job? Yeah, hard to remember. Heck even Parcells was at the tail end of his career when he came here. Tells you a lot about the kind of coach Jerry attracts now.

Shouldve made this move last year
Riley or a Urban Meyer would have been better choices than the recycled fat boy that Jerry hired. I didn’t see much improvement, if any, from a Garrett coached team. Garrett may have won a game or two more is he was still coach.

Sorry to sound pessimistic, but it would not shock me if in three years, the jags have a brighter future than the Cowboys...... who will be starting over at that time with another HC. Coach Moore i presume.
