They need to give this man a minimum of 3 years to turn this around because the Jets arent good......just about every position on offense could use an upgrade and most positions of defense could also

It's perplexing to me that Bieniemy is still out there. I like Saleh and Meyer, but Bieniemy has been the hottest assistant coach in the NFL for several seasons. I wonder if maybe people question his input with Andy Reid and Mahomes both being so good.
Or, they know something that we don't. My uneducated guess is that Reid wants to call it quits sooner rather than later, enter Bieniemy as the new HC of the Chiefs.

Pure speculation on my part.

If I'm Biennemy at this point, I'm staying in KC and waiting for the next go around. Another ring would be nice.
If I'm Bieniemy I'm staying with the Chiefs...waiting for Reid to retire.
He turns 63 in two months; perhaps a 2nd straight NFL title will move him to feel satisfied about his career....unless Reid still wants to coach.

I'd imagine Reid will still want to coach another season or two, but that'd be the best job if I'm Bieniemy. Just coach and wait.

It is absolutely bizarre. Part of it is timing, for sure, but he never even gets any buzz.

He'd be my number one target, personally.

The Jets finally did something right, great hire IMO. I would have loved to have had him over Fat Mikey.

Surprising. I thought Pedersen would have gotten that job because he gets along well with the Jets GM.

I hear what some people are saying about his experience, talent, and not calling plays, but he deserves a shot as much as anyone else right now.

I like the hire. Blows my mind why Jerry picks an offensive coach for the team when we have Moore running the offense. I'd think seeing your teams main problem is on defense. Seems to me defense should of been the HC pick. Dallas has easily a top 10 if not at times a top 5 offense. With Dak. What is McCarthy actually bringing??

his fortunes will be tied directly to the decision on QB. If he stays with Darnold or takes one in the draft, Salah will succeed or fail depending on what the QB does

He''s going to need a really solid OC. Likely someone who busted as a HC

The NFL really does stack the deck against guys on more successful teams. The McDaniels situation probably gives them even more pause now. Comes down to either getting your guy now or waiting it out for a month on Bieniemy. I do think the Eagles might be waiting on him though.

Must be nice to have a FO that realizes it’s mistakes (hiring Gase) and they hired someone with real potential. Meanwhile, we got retreads (Big Mike, Quinn, Whitt) and Jerry goes nuclear every year and wonders why this team continues to fail and lose its “America’s team” monger.

Jerry has tried about every method of hiring a head coach. He hired a successful college coach twice. He hired an innovative coordinator. He promoted from within. He hired a longtime, Super Bowl-winning coach. He hired another innovative coordinator, but one who had already failed as a head coach. He hired a former player and groomed him for the job. And he's back to a Super Bowl-winning coach, this time with an offensive slant.

There's only one thing that has been consistent through all of the failures ... Jerry remains the GM. But he'll also tell you he was here for the successes, too, even though the last of them was 25 years ago.

I’m pretty sure they do. That offense is the brainchild of Reid (one of the best offensive minds) and having Mahomes to run it (and Hill to throw to) is pretty much going to be impossible for Bienemy to reproduce. Even if his offensive mind is as good as Andy’s, the odds are he’ll never get a QB like Patrick.

Andy is a great, great, great coach.
Andy would have been a good hire for Dallas, but Jerry never considered it. He had Garrett blinders on.

I don't know much about Saleh other than he looks like he could knock my head into orbit with one good punch.
