espn's chris mortensen said watson will try to force his way out of houston and that his prefered landing spot is miami.
I'm sure the Houston team will be fine with making things "uncomfortable" (James Harden reference) before they get a great deal.

Don't see that happening. Not with the qb.

Kill a couple of birds with one stone.

Trade Elliott, Cooper and two number one's for Watson.

Exclusive tag Prescott. With the QB market as open as it will be Prescott can get the deal he wants and Dallas will get back two number ones.

Or just sign Prescott and trade him with Elliott and Cooper for Watson.

Don't know the cap ramifications, just a thought.

No one is giving two number ones for a QB who oscillates between mediocre and good, and is coming off a compound fracture and dislocated ankle, and cannot put full weight on his leg more than 3 months later, and wants $35-40M per year and probably won't be able to pass a physical in March.

Vegas has odds about who would get them. The Cowboys odds were 20-1. The Jets was 2-1. The Raiders odds was to 12-1. KC obviously was last one at 200-1.

It is because there is no state sales tax and he like how the organization is run by Brian Flores the HC. That is what is reported also.

The QB market will drive the price for Prescott

For 2021 Prescott is the number one free agent. There would be a bidding war for his services. He would win getting the deal he wants and Dallas would recoup the two number ones in the Watson trade.

Dallas would still have Lamb and Gallup with C. Wilson in the slot. You just need to draft another running back to replace Elliott. Jarwin and Schultz at TE.

You would use the 10 picks in the draft for defense, OL, and running back.

Some of you freak out about nothing.:muttley:

The Cowboys' problems have nothing to do with other teams. The Cowboys' problems are internal. Until those are fixed what anyone else does doesn't matter

If I'm the Jets or Jaguars, I'm seriously considering trading my top pick for him. ESPECIALLY the Jaguars, as Justin Fields has big bust potential.

Watson is a 25 year old dual-threat QB with a career QB rating of 104.5 and nearly a 3:1 QB/INT ratio. You take that over any QB in any draft, ever.

It will take draft capital, and salary cap space to swing a trade for Watson. Skins have cap space but don't have surplus picks and are slotted 19th in draft. Plus WFT brass seem to perpetually fail to fix franchise.

More likely: Dolphins, Jets, Panthers, 49ers

.

The supposed $175M cap floor and Dak’s injury status will drive the QB market for Dak.

I’ll say it again. No one is giving up two firsts for Dak.

Wow you really love Watson!
No way I’d trade the three center pieces of a great offense for one QB who may or may not even be better than what we have. I love to watch Watson play but I don’t trust him over the course of an entire season. He flashes but he also flops. I trust Dak a little more actually.
I think the Cooper contract is fair, it’s the Zeke and Jaylon contracts that screwed things up, huge contracts for players at cheap positions. Dak is getting paid either here or elsewhere. Watson already has a big contract. I think folks are failing to connect ditching a great player leaves a hole at a position and although it gives more cap money you still have to spend it elsewhere. The cap is really just a shell game.
