Should cowboys go after Mitch Trubisky if Dak leaves

Dak will be a Cowboy next year

But if in some universe Dak left on open market then no, I wouldn't even bother with Mitch.

He's not gonna win a SB or likely even a playoff game. He's good enough to get 6 to 9 wins every year with this roster. We'll be stuck picking just late enough to never get a QB.

No, if Dak leaves, then you gut the expensive trash on both sides of the ball and eat the cap hits and go 0-16 and draft the best QB available.

I heard all year we’re loaded On talent so all we need is a quarterback who can throw at least 5 yards. No reason to pay Dak then when Mitch will do it for league minimum

We dem boyz

You must have been listening to the voices in your head all year because all we need is a defense.

If Dak did leave, which is very unlikely, would it be worth it to draft either Zach Wilson or Trey Lance at No. 10?

I don't know much about them, but just because they aren't No. 1 or No. 2 picks doesn't necessarily mean they wouldn't be worth considering in that scenario. I mean, Mahomes was drafted at No. 10 and Ben Roethlisberger was taken at 11.

I'm against over paying Dak, but I have to agree with this. And I don't care if mitch agrees to play for chocolate chip cookies. I'd sooner play a QB drafted in the 4th round.

I'm still laughing about that draft pick. How embarrassing. The owner and GM tripping over themselves, pushing everyone aside to snatch him up like a 100 dollar bill in the middle of a mosh pit.

Classic case of folie a deux.

I mean sure, I'd absolutely take Wilson at 10, and so would two dozen other teams, and thus he won't be available at 10.

In that no-Dak scenario you could argue that every team in the top 16 besides JAX, CIN, LAC, and ARI would pick Wilson if available. JAX should just take Lawrence and the other 3 have young QBs already.

Lance might actually last to pick 10 but I doubt it. If he did, and if Dak were gone, he'd be tempting.

It's a hot take maybe but I'd really consider taking Wilson at 10 even if Dak were still here, tbh. If no one will trade picks with me and Wilson is available then I'm taking Wilson. Best case scenario I've got a princess in a castle and someone will suddenly decide a trade doesn't sound so bad. Worst case scenario I groom this kid and maybe move on from Dak earlier than expected. I'd sure hate to do that but Dak is the one that wants a short deal and hasn't signed for 2 years. Sometimes you just gotta take what the fates give you.

If Dak is here but on a tag and Wilson is available at 10 then im definitely taking Wilson. If a deal isn't done by draft day then it isn't getting done and im not being held hostage any longer. Wilson is the pick, Dak is on the trading block. Sorry kid, loved ya, hoped you were the guy, it's just business, go jerk someone else around.

This is the strongest QB draft prospect wise I have ever witnessed in watching NFL football. I'll be 42 years old this year.

QB is probably the strongest position group in the whole draft believe it or not.

You don't keep Dak, you draft a QB this year. Maybe draft one even if/when Dak is signed.
