It was obvious. Management wanted Wentz because of the contract and Pederson wanted Hurts. As a result, Wentz was gifted Qb1 and good luck to any coach forced to role with Wentz.

Someone make a video of themselves laughing hysterically and falling out of their seat and flood Stephen A Smiths inbox with it.

What would be perfect is if Moore ends up with Carson Wince . That would be epic.

This is one reason for Wentz failing. When you suffer injuries and the coach doesnt believe in you its not going to work.

Trade a 3 for Hurts.
I would do that in a heartbeat. Especially if we pick up a comp pick with Dalton leaving (hopefully). I'd still do it tho, even without a comp pick. A little insurance helps everyone sleep at night.

They didn't draft Hurts to trade him after one year. They'll keep him for insurance and one of two things will happen. He'll either replace Wentz in a few more years, or they'll trade him a year before they have to pay him.

The important thing here is that the eagles locker room be divided into Wentz and Hurts factions........and each faction voice their opinion on social media thus causing more dissension and chaos. Its perfect.

While I agree with your thought process, it is blatantly obvious that Wentz is not a mentally strong person and can’t stand competition. If Ownership backs Wentz, and they want to set Wentz up to succeed they will most likely HAVE to move Hurtz or Wentz will wilt due to the competition.

Personally, I would force competition at every position including QB and let the cream rise to the top but I don’t think that having Wentz and a decent backup is conducive to anything other than watching a Wentz meltdown.

Interesting POV. I never considered that possibility. If that truly is the case with Wentz then he has to go. I mean, I wish he stays, but you get my point. Competition between Montana and Young got the best out of both players. If you can't handle it, get gone.

I think you fix the offensive line and work on Wentz mechanics and he could make a come back
I think Wentz has the talent, but his attitude is the problem. Fix his attitude and he will return to being a good QB.

Wentz and Hurtz both had to contend with throwing behind a make-shift OL with the worst WR core in the NFL. Neither could throw the ball effectively. Hurts gave them a better chance to win b/c he can run.

Yeah. That's what I would say too. But Lurie seems to want to salvage Wentz and that may be the only way to do it. Personally, if he does flip Wentz for that reason, he is putting kindling and gas in a dumpster and is in the process of throwing a lit cigarette into the dumpster.

Couldn't agree more. But Wentz screwed himself. Reminds me of the year Dak got sacked 356 billion times. Only Wentz threw it too many times into coverage trying to be a hero.
