Hey, quick question

Did you make a similar long winded whining post about Elway and Eli when they forced their way out of being drafted by their respective franchises?

No? Thought so

Now look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself, why not? A moment of reflection
There werent even computers when Elway came in the league. So if you want to ask me the question if I agreed with how Elway and Eli handled those situations like a person with some level of intelligence. I would of answered you by telling you No. That they were both self entitled. I would of told Elway to go play baseball and Eli could of sat his *** down and not get paid for 4 years. Now go look in that same mirror and ask Am I an idiot or just a total dumb ***. A moment of reflection that shouldn't take that long. If you need help with the answer let me know.

1. GMs and owners cut players they've signed to contracts literally all the time. So the "honor your contract" stuff is complete bs if you think it should only be required one way and not the other

2. No anger at Carson Wentz? Who has also tried to request a trade when he didn't get his way. But even worse..was reported as being insubordinate on and off the field to his HC.

Makes me wonder..
Remember all contracts have clauses. Thats why most contracts aren't what they seem to be. Players need to know, which Im sure thy do through their agents what is written and what they can or can't do. How many guys get cut and don't make a team and still get paid the agreed upon contract amount without playing a game. True with Wentz. But please explain Makes me wonder/?

DeShaun Watson is still a Texan but he wants a trade. It's only your opinion Alex Smith is better, no one gives much validity to it.
Could care less. Just stating the facts. He’s not only a JAG he’s also a cancer on the team.

Without rules nothing lasts. Ratings are down becaus fans are tired of all the bull****. The players from back in the day got raw deals. No one new of the damage that was being done. But they have been compensated to some degree from the NFL through the CBA. Also remeber something, those owners had to do something right to make the money they did. They also risked alot of money buy investing it. They should and deserve to make whatever it is they make. The players on the other hand do deserve to make what they make as well. Here is the difference, the player could choose to play or not. The PLAYER IS AN EMPLOYEE of the owner. and doesnt and shouldn't have a say in business decisions. The players have a union they need to abide by their union bylaws. Im not pro owner or pro player just honor what is signed or don't sign it. Can you imagine if every player did this every year?

First, rules change. The rule used to be that only certain people could vote. Now the rules are more people can vote. Shrug.

Second, so what ratings are down? Doesn't mean they will stay down. And sometimes you need to change so you can rebuild for the future. The people who are tired of the BS (your words) are dying out. A new generation that likes what you call BS is emerging. The NFL understands this and is marketing to the future. That's business. Shrug.

Third, yes, they have a CBA. They can also negotiate another.

Fourth, the owners make money off the players. They had to do something right, but so did the players. And now that the players know their worth, they're demanding more for themselves. The owners have done so, why can't the players?

Fifth, the players also deserve to make whatever they make. And, yes, the players can choose to play or not. But the players also can choose to demand more and they do. This isn't an either or.

Sixth, the player is an employee of the owner. But the owner has no business if not for employees. And employees have a say in business if they have the value and worth to demand their say.

Seventh, if the owners abide by what they sign, then they likely wouldn't be in this situation. Owners can cut players, manipulate playing time so players don't reach their incentives, not be as interested in winning, etc.

Finally, it doesn't happen every year now does it? When was the last strike? The players want to play too. They're might momentarily boycott or strike to get what they want, but it corrects itself after while. Besides, I'm not going to criticize players who try to look out for their self-interest. We know that the owners will look out for themselves. We just don't live in those naive days anymore where owners have all the leverage and rake in all the money.
It's a new day. And we can either adjust, or as you say the players should do, choose to watch or not watch. Shrug.

Players are Employees. How could you even defend that
Because they are partners with the owners. They are also part of the product. Someone like Mickey Spagnola, is an employee of the team.

You'd be closer calling them contract workers, but certainly not employees.

The only thing required of the GM or owner is that they provide what is guaranteed in the contract. That is literally how it works everywhere. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with players that decide they don't want to play. No play, no pay. But Watson got a 27 million dollar signing bonus. That's borderline theft if he just wants to walk away without paying it back.

As far as players holding out. Pro sports is probably the only place where you can get away with extortion. Can you imagine if you paid a contractor to add an extension to your house and they stopped midway through and told you if you didn't also agree to pay them to replace your roof they wouldn't continue? And you have already paid them up front?

Don't buy this ridiculous story for a second. You just reek of being jealous of athletes bank accounts.

Its a true story and you reek of ignorance. And to continue my story.........there were no gymnasts , baseball, or soccer players who required my services. Just football and basketball players......and its the same at every division 1 program.

Is that like teams signing contracts and then cutting players? They don’t always honor the contract so it goes both ways.
Actually, cutting a player before the end of the contract has nothing to do with contract honoring. The contract gives the team the right to do this. What they don’t have the right to do is not pay the player any guaranteed monies (except in possible cases of contract violation). The player does have the right to hold out within the limitations set forth in the CBA and not get paid. The issue with the later is the enourmous signing bonuses are not salary and not subject to being withheld if the player holds out (nor does it get forfeited if the are cut).

Dak hasn’t carried anybody. He blew 2017 with a talented roster at every position on offense.

People always over rate the skill positions Dak worked with 2016-17, especially when trying to prove a point.

WR:
Dez - injured and would be out of the league the next year.
TWIL - Couldn't even make an XFL roster the next year
Bealsey - decent slot, but on one dimensional
TE:
Witten - HOFamer, but at end of a career - couldn't run.

1. Dez wasn't injured
2. TWill had other criminal issues
3. Beasley is lighting it up in Buffalo
4. Dak had the best OL and RG in the league

They wer completely fine when Zeke wasn't suspended and Linehan ran the ball with him. It was Dak that blew the chances at the play-offs in 2017.

Dez was never right after his foot injury.
TWIL had a drunk in public. He was never suspended (FWIR). If he was worth anything he would have got an offer.
Beasley is good in the slot, but one dimensional. If he was Daks best receiving option that would tell you something.

IMO, though
