2018 Atlanta Falcons Defensive Quality Control Coach Falcons Record 7-9

2019 Atlanta Falcons Defensive Assistant Coach Falcons Record 7-9

2020 Atlanta Falcons Outside Linebackers Coach Falcons Record 4-12

Not a winning record in his NFL coaching career.....I would consider that failing.
Thanks! I didn't realize he was responsible for wins and losses.

Should have kept Tomsula.

Hellll Nope that Tomsula. He was a disaster played out .. we just dunno what to expect from this new hire. Just have to trust the new DC on this one.
And Quinn's specialty was DL coach awhile back.

I really do not like this hire.

But then again, I loved the Tomsula hire, so who knows.

That is a very general way of looking at it but ok.

I think we can all tell what a quality defense looks like and what is bad.

For example I think the Rams defense is a little better than what Atlanta trotted out.
but at the end of the day, they were humbled by the packers. saleh took their d-line coach to the jets with him.

Lol. Quality control coach to olb coach to now d line coach. And his defenses and position group were weak lol. This is almost comical

It's a QB driven league.. Maybe defense is overrated and that's why Dallas hired him.

You realize MOST coaching staffs in the NFL or wherever isnt filled with a bunch of no name guys who dont know each other right....lol that would create more tension and more divided, separation and more of an uphill battle

Fun fact. He worked for the Cowboys as an intern 6 years ago

From what I'm looking at, he played at one point for the London Olympians and worked with the London Warriors before joining the Falcons. I wonder if that's how we were connected to Efe Obada who stayed a bit on our PS before playing for the Panthers. He's been quite good for them. Shame we couldn't keep him.

So...has every defensive coach on McCarthy's staff his first season in Dallas been replaced?

Honestly, I don't get this hire. I mean, there is probably a lot I don't get but this, I really don't understand. I mean, the Falcon's DL was worse then ours was and that with Grady Jarrett and Dante Fowler. I mean, this guy played for the London Olympians, Scottish Claymores, Hamburg Sea Devils and was a practice squade member of the Panthers in 2005 and the Chiefs in 2008. I mean, this is not to say that you have to have played in the NFL to be a good Coach but it does speak to the level of coaching that you, yourself, have received. It speaks to the knowledge base you have. It would be different if I could look at his resume and see a lot of experience but I can't. First of all, he's English, which leads me to believe that he probably didn't grow up with the game. He probably grew up playing other sports, as opposed to Football so I'm guessing he didn't get a ton of experience there. He's been a Quality Control Coach for Atlanta 2018/19 and an outside LBs Coach in Atlanta for 2020.

How in the hell does this qualify this guy to be our DL Coach? This guy may end up being some kind of Savant but this, this type of management is why we are 25 years in with nothing to show for it. What the hell are we thinking? This has to be some kind of mistake, I would think.
