What I did say is that I was laughing at a lot of the same people who said Dalton would come in and be just as good, if not better than Dak, are now saying the same thing about Mitch. Once Mitch doesn’t meet those claims, those same people will find another back up caliber QB and say the same thing, it will never end because they hate Dak.

And no one, is rooting for Dak to get $40 million. He has not stated that amount himself. First you say that neither QB should not be on the roster; then you call Trubisky a starting quality QB. What is your angle? Not disputing your view, just want to know are you for or against.

All I said, or intended to say was that Mitch would be a great QB2. ,, But with starters retiring like Brees and Rivers, definitely ups the anty on MT.
There are only a few, handful of true franchise QBs in this league, then the tier drops. Dak is no doubt a starter in this league, and without a doubt better than MT.
But MT might find a team that is willing to try and put him in a starting role, he will be seeking that.

Ive been rough on Dak, but saying that Trub is in the same conversation with Dak is a bit overstating.
Dak does not equal Trubisky.
Trub would be a great understudy if the FO was really short on the leash with Dak in their opinion on him, but I doubt that happens, and I doubt Dallas is even in considerations for MT.
All Im saying is that I wouldnt mind having Dak the starter, and Trub the BU... pipe dream, but my thoughts none the less.
