One of the positive things about Dak

Zack Martin obviously is a good player but he will be 31 this coming season and missed 6 games due to injury this season with cap hits of $17M and $17.8M. There are simply too many high priced guys either not performing or entering the wrong side of their careers.
31 isn't old for a potential HOF caliber lineman.

is that he appears to be willing to listen and take advice from all sources. And when he screws up he seems willing to take it. Contrast that to Wentz. Jeff McLane is a plugged in beat writer for them and has a story that paints Wentz as a prima donna and pain the butt.

I linked to the summary from Bleeding Green Nation but the main article linked in the story is from the Philly Inquirer and you may need a subscription to read.

Haters always posting the few negatives Dak encountered because of their hate not realizing the fact that tossing off his back foot would have landed him to his 3rd Pro Bowl anyway hence the injury. Touche'

Being in a pro bowl, where fans have a significant say, and any joe schmoe as a QB on the Cowboys, considering their popularity, can get there, if the Cowboys have a winning record, isn't saying much... The majority of the garbage Cowboys OL when Romo was QB'ing ended up in the pro-bowl and never saw it before and set foot again once they left Romo.

You're still stuck in 2017 I see. His mechanics have significantly improved since then particularly under pressure which is when he was doing most of that throwing off the back foot.

Actually, I'm not. My favorite one in 2019 was the one downfield to Cooper against Green Bay when he had all the time in the world, but threw off his back-foot and sailed it behind Cooper, leading to one of his many picks that day.

You've got a single anecdote and I have his total accuracy and pick rates.

It's interesting watching you lose on a point like his performance under pressure then simply move the goal post to something else.

at this point I'm not really interested in arguing on merit with you because you won't recognize merit when it's shown.

Fans actually have very little say in pro bowl voting. It basically serves as a tiebreaker if the coach and player voting is close.

In the offensive lineman that you're talking about are Gurrode and Adams who retired a year or two after Romo and were well into their 30s at that point.

Cool story though

You should also challenge him on his description of the pick that bounced off Cooper's chest. That ball was thrown right where it needed to be.. Cooper took a peek inside to see if the safety was going to be able to take his head off which caused him to not get his hands in the right position to catch the ball. Later in the game Dak's second pick bounced off Cobb's facemask but people of this ilk will probably claim that was a poor throw too.

I get what you're saying but by arguing the validity of his anecdote you're basically saying that if he can prove his anecdote it proves something and it doesn't.

There is no consistent coherent argument to not think Prescott is a good quarterback. They're just fumbling looking for something to prove their assumptions thread after thread.

their minds aren't going to be changed but they're drivel should not become the board narrative either.

he was saying last week that that couldn't throw under pressure and then I showed his 2019 stats where he was top three when throwing under pressure according to football outsiders.

He of course did not acknowledge it and instead just left the thread. I'm waiting for him to start saying the Dak can't throw under pressure again.

Flozell never made a Pro Bowl before Romo? Huh?

Khiladi lies more than anyone on this site especially when its time to post about Dak. I don't understand it for the life of me.

I think you're wrong in assuming they are trying to prove anything. These people have been posting the same falsehoods for months despite all the data to the contrary they keep posting them. That tells me that the only thing they're looking for is for people to respond to them so they can rest easy that they still have their trolling skills intact. I pointed out that his description of the interception was wrong because it was. But that's what they do.. They foist some BS narrative upon us and hope it gets a rise out of folks. Don't fall for it.

I hear you I just don't understand why deception is tolerated sometimes.

If Dak were smart and really wanted a chance to win in the playoffs, he'd ask for a trade to the Colts. They have an underrated front office organization and the beginnings of a very good coaching staff on both sides of the ball to guide then deep into the playoffs compared to a DC clown show who has many holes on both sides of the ball and not to mention question marks in coaching to fill at this point. He could pick up where Rivers left off and thrive with Reich and Co.
I like Dak and healthy or not, signed or not, next year at this time we'll all be arguing who's to blame for the DC mal functions.

That is why Dak continues to get better and Wentz declines.

How did I move the post when I provided a clear example of him doing it against GB, where he was throwing INT after INT, only to “improve his accuracy” in garbage time? Or you know like when he did the same thing against NE?

Or his pick 6 against the Giants this year?

You think your slick. Notice the words BEFORE..

aka Gurode, Columbo, kosier, broke back Rivera, Davis, all journeymen or busts before playing behind Romo. And they either didn’t last or vanished a year after leaving Romo.. by 2012, it was complete bust after bust after bust.

Pointing to the pro bowl where fans can vote multiple times is comically ridiculous, especially considering not a single one of them outside Flozell was ever considered relevant period. We all know I’m the grand scheme of things is all pro is what matters, you know like those guys Dak walked into.

And my argument was never that they were good, my argument was Romo is who made all these average per mediocre linemen better than they actually were to the point the winning of the Cowboys made them get in the pro bowl.

Who has the cooler story?

Who has the cooler story?

Kosier broke out in Detroit before coming here filling in for an injured starter. He only played with Romo while here and his wheels fell off before Romo retired.

Davis failed at OT in Arizona and was moved to OG here. He had 3 good years and his play declined in 2010. We cut him in 2011 while he was playing with Romo. He sucked while under Romo.

Marco Rivera injured his hip and was damaged goods when he got here. He was good in GB and terrible for us. I have no idea why you mention him.

Gurode was moved to guard by Parcells in 2003 and was awful. He was moved back to center in 2005 - a year before Romo took over- and played better. He seemed to take confidence from that and came out like gangbusters in 2006 even when playing under Bledsoe.

Davis and Gurode were both 34 when they moved on. It was age and not leaving Romo that did them in.

Your stories lack reality.

I have tired to talk to you about cherry picking and bias but its always been over your head. Youre still wrong for the same reason.

I do like how you cherry pick anecdotes that are often not factual though.

Basically, you confirmed everything I said. And this idea they played better behind Bledsoe is just a slick filler for you to try and cover the reality that they sucked all this time until Romo came along. They sucked period and the OL was considered the weakest link. When Flozell went down in like 2005, the OL of the Cowboys gave up like 40 sacks in 10 games. Bledsoe was sacked 16 times in like 6 games in 2006.

All busts for multiple years until they played behind Romo. All shuffling mediocrities here and there.

Your reading comprehension is terrible. How does it compute that Rivera made pro bowls in GB and was terrible here means I proved your point for example?

And my entire point about how they declined in play here despite playing with Romo completely escaped you.

You struggle with assuming correlation implying causation and even correlating in the first place. Then there is the issue of uniqueness which is a level of complexity above that you are oblivious to as well.
