Carr already got paid after his rookie contract. It could be argued that there are more question marks surrounding Prescott as he played on the tag and is now coming off a serious leg injury without a contract in place.

I suppose to be fair Watson has proven his quality in the league and they have the draft picks to acquire him with an already fairly loaded roster.
Jury is still out on Tua who may or may not work out. If they could acquire Watson for two first rounders and Tua then I would do it. With the Patriots and Jets in rebuild mode then the Dolphins should go all in over the next 5 years to basically make the play offs with the Bills.

Those that say Dallas will not get two number ones for Prescott are misreading the market.

Trade Elliott, Cooper, and two number ones for Watson. Get your two ones back tagging Prescott.

You just got two years younger at QB. You have Lamb, Gallup, and Wilson as your top three. You have Schultz and Jarwin at TE. You just need to draft RB. With the 10 draft picks you can draft defense, RB, and OL.

The QB is signed through 2025 and the highest cap hits are 2022 and 2023 at 40 million and 42 million respectively.

Time to think outside the box.

I don't know why anyone thinks Watson is better than Dak. Better mobility but not as good of a passer.

Count me out on that move!

Well the Dolphins have the picks to do it. Not for other teams. I suppose it depends how high up they could draft. Just remembered that they have the #3 pick from Houston so they are in a great position. Depends how highly they evaluate the incoming QBs as the ideal scenario is to have a rookie QB contract to build around which could still be Tua if they believe in him. People forget that Watson has been playing with a trash OLine for the majority of his career in Houston yet has still played very well. His performances could arguably be upgraded

Watson is clearly better than Prescott. Prescott has had a better o line, running game and collection of receivers compared with Watson who for those that claimed he was only good with Hopkins well he just played his best season without him.

But again the contract is an issue as my philosophy is to build around a competent rookie QB and their contract.

So Derek Carr gets credit for the W-L record? QB's don't play in a vacuum, the team around them matters a great deal.

I always find it hard to compare players on different teams. I know others don't, but they probably should.

My list:

NO - Yes, if Brees retires, but w/ Hill and Winston there they probably wait a year
PIT - no, not if Ben returns, but possibly a not first rd pick to stash
IND - Yes, Rivers gone leaves huge whole*
LAR - no, they aren't giving up on Goff, yet
MIA - Yes, I think so, but could roll w/ Tua a full year or trade him*
CHI - Yes, but they could be stuck w/ Mitch 1 more yr
NE - Yes, Cam was horrid*
WASH - Yes, they have nothing behind Smith, but could wait a year if he returns*
DAL - no, Dak isn't going anywhere people
SF - no, don't think they let Jimmy G walk just yet
CAR - yes, but may let him sit a year behind Teddy*
DEN - yes, but could let Lock go another year*
DET - Yes, they have no body*
PHI - no, Howie fired Doug so he could save Carson, good luck
HOU - no, can't see a Watson trade*
NYJ - no, they like Darnold
JAX - YES, Lawrence's card is already turned in.
Atl - yes, but they will have to wait at least 1 more year to replace Matty ice
NYG - yes, but unless a top guy falls to them at 11, they wait to see if Jones can improve
LVR - yes, but w/ Carr there I don't think they will take one early

If you noticed the * it is to designate teams I feel may try a trade involving Watson.
Not sure who all on that list has the cap space to eat his contract, but a team picking top 10 could entice Houston to trade.

is why we needed change badly, so we can only hope. Some guys can't achieve on their own, hoping that is the case for him and Quinn can get him going

Dallas does not have QB concerns, they have Dak. He will be signed or tagged. Either way, he will be our QB in 2021.

QBs have W/L records are are judged on them. Carr has been inconsistent which is why his job security is in question every year.

It was great during the 60s and 70s. We’ve had some real good first round picks under Jerry.

Nope. The Cowboys already have 11 picks.

They have the quantity. Now they need quality. To get quality, stay at 10 and get the best player. I'm hoping for Farley myself.

Philly should be at the top, they don't have a starting QB on the roster right now.
