I don't mind the slow build. I just hate corny humor, unless it's done ironically.

On a side note, I do find it an odd coincidence that I watched these two episodes immediately after watching the final episode of Buffy, in which Anya dies. I'm pretty sure that's the only show I've ever seen Emma Caulfield in, until episode 2 of Wandavision.

Didn't watch either of those shows.

Are you guys sure Vision is even "in there" with Wanda. I assumed she's created him in her mind and he's still not "alive".

No, I think that it's all something she's created in her mind, including Vision being 'alive' again. I think he's still in Wakanda in the real world. My guess is that this series is setting her up to go off the deep end as she has in the comics.

I get the impression this is something being done to her by someone else.

Last night I got hooked on Broadchurch. I don't know if it was listed here but it's a British murder mystery on Netflix. I started watching it about halfway through the first season. My wife gave me the backstory of the previous episodes. I was immediately riveted because it wasn't obvious who the killer was until the last episode. Lots of zigs and zags on the story. There are three seasons and I hope season two is as good as the first.

Its a great show that you don’t hear a lot about.

Watched the third episode of WandaVision and it seems like were getting a clearer picture of the overarching plot. With six episodes left, it looks like we'll be seeing a homage to 80's television shows next.

This is just guessing on my part but I think Disney is testing their audience acceptance of content with Disney+ in two ways. First, they segment content by source. Doing so directs subscribers to the content they want to see only. Like Pixar? Access Pixar movies only. Star Wars fan? Ditto. And so on.

The process promotes the entertainment brands Disney owns while giving subscribers the option of voluntary choice. I think the strategy provides Disney with an out of "Why did you choose that particular content when you were not forced to select it?"

Secondly, I believe Disney is testing subscriber reaction to an elevated violence tier from feedback concerning The Wolverine as available content. That particular movie is not always as bloody as customary The Punisher episodic fare. However, the movie does have some violent scenes that are nearly, if not equal to, what can be seen in a Punisher episode.

It may be wishful thinking on my part on the second point. I hope all Netflix/Marvel series land on Disney+ at some point. Audience reception varied from series to series but I think they all should be made Disney+ content under the Marvel brand they are associated with.

Great post, I think you bring up some great points.

I think that Disney can, should, and will eventually have more 'adult-oriented' choices made available. They're clearly diversifying in order to enhance their appeal and consumer base, and I think that diversification will ultimately include more 'not for kids' options. Maybe not to extremes, but I think that there will be shows and films in that genre at some point.

I did some quick math and if each week is a different decade in television, the last episode should 'catch up' with our current one, spanning from the 50's to the present.

I hope they get through this quicker. I'm watching e3 right now, and I'm actually getting a little mad at how stupid this is. I'm glad this isn't the first thing I've seen from Marvel, because I probably would never watch anything else.

Okay, so it's finally starting to get better. I still don't think they needed to drag it out this long, but it's starting to look like it will be worth sitting through the first three episodes.

I am still waiting but the reviews here aren't convincing me to devote the time to this. I am not a comic book movie guy anyway.

If it hadn't gone somewhere in e3, I might've given up on it. But I'm seeing a light at the end of the corny sitcom tunnel, and I've seen too much greatness from Marvel to think they won't make it worth it.

I'd say that if you're not a comic book movie guy, it's probably not for you anyway and you likely wouldn't enjoy it.
