The Jonesboys couldn't put together a championship team when Dak cost $600,000. I find it hard to believe they can pull it off with him making $35 million.

Ironically, Dak screwed the Cowboys with his success in 2016.

Romo retiring was always the natural time to move on from Garrett, but Dak, Zeke, and the oline made for a huge 2016, giving Jerry the "we're so close, don't break up the band" feelz.

We end up wasting the final 3 years of Dak's rookie contract slowly unpeeling the Garrett coaching staff, always "giving them a chance to prove themselves", instead of trying to find the best available. I couldn't believe they brought back Linehan in 2018.

Dak-stans fail to mention Dak threw an INT on the second drive of the Giants game and returned for TD by the Giants. Dak only scored 3 points on the first drive. That pick 6 put the Giants up 14-3.

And in the THIRD drive, Dak took a sack on first doen and threw an INC on third down, after Pollard racked up nine yard on second down run.

Then Moore actually got smart and stopped having “Dak-attack” and started feeding the ball to Zeke. Out of 15 plays, Moore had Zeke touch the ball 10 times and had another run by Pollard. Zeke scored the TD and made them relevant again to 14-10. 11 out of 15 plays were RUN CALLS and Zeke owned the Giants front.

On the drive Dak was allegedly carrying us in the third before he got hurt, Dak only had ONE completion and that was right after Zeke went for 9 yards, then 7, then Pollard ran for 1, meaning the RG opened up Dak’s one pass. Pollard then followed it up with a 13 yard run, then Dak ran for 9 yards and broke his leg. Then Dalton does the exact same thing Dak does. Throws one completion after a sack and then hands it off to Zeke who rushes 12 yards for a TD.

So contrary to Dak-mania it was Zeke and the RG that actually pulled Dallas out of the hole that was a result of Dak’s pick 6. Dak didn’t carry Jack squat behind a line that still featured Zach Martin to keep the RG relevant. Zeke was a monster that game and Moore had the sense to go away from the passing game to feed him and throw in some Pollard along the way.

Then Andy does what Dak doesn’t do at all, which is lead his team to scoring position on a FG on a PASS ONLY drive, where he completed three completions in a row. Every dominant pass drive outside the first scripted drive of that Giants game by Dak ended up basically in a three and out.

This revisionist history by Dak-stans never ends. These guys are claiming Dak would have continued pouring it on against the Giants, when Moore was basically calling Zeke’s number the whole game.

We were down 24-7 and would have been blown out with a lesser QB. We lost Amari on the first series of the game and Gallup didn’t step up. He had at least two drops. If you don’t think it was mostly our defense that cost us that game then you’re either a Dak hater or you didn’t watch the game. Our defense was horrible!

Coaching fail.

Cobb was out, Gallup and Cooper were questionable, but we kept Devin Smith inactive. Once Cooper was out, and with a gimpy Gallup, there was no competent WR to throw to. Austin ended up as our leading WR of the day.

But they still scores only 24 points.
Why couldn't Dak lead the team to score 25?

Dak-Stan revisionism. When Smith goes down, Dak gets the excuse against the Jets. When Dalton is playing with third-stringers at OL, he’s ‘awful’.

The Jets, Bills, Rams and Bears were four of the five top defenses against play-action that year, with Dallas being a top two team in usage up to the Bills game. Dak completely sucked against them and allowed them to build big leads and it’s no coincidence. Then Dak-stans fall back on garbage time stats against soft defenses after Dak’s offense was continually giving the ball back to the opponents offense to allow them to build these leads in the first place. Dak got outplayed by Mitch Trubisky.

And the reason we beat the Rams is because Zeke went wild and the OP completely dominated the front line of the Rams, followed by Pollard doing damage.

Nobody bites and puts another defenders in the box or puts their DBs closer to line for Dak on play action if the running game and OL wasn’t as good as it was all these years.

The most annoying thing about Dak-mania and they think they are slick, is they actually try and leverage the excuses that were actually VALID for Romo for Dak. Dak NEVER had Garrett calling plays. Garrett was a bottom-ranked rushing attack when all was said and done in his role as a play caller.

Linehan's biggest impact will be on screens and play-action passes, which will give the Cowboys offense a new look because they seldom ran either play the past two seasons.

The Cowboys have thrown a total of just 57 screen passes in the past two seasons. Only three teams attempted fewer, and they averaged just 5.02 yards per attempt for one of the NFL's lowest totals.

https://www.espn.com/blog/dallas/cowboys/post/_/id/4731923/linehans-scheme-dovetails-with-cowboys

https://www.espn.com/blog/dallas/co...3/romos-play-action-passes-bringing-big-gains

We were a bottom-ranked play action team with Garrett in full control and as soon as Linehan comes, Dallas ups that usage for Romo to about 70 times in the season, using it for big chunk plays, but as soon as Dak comes, he completely dumbs down the offense for him and makes it the second most usage play action offense in the NFL and they didn’t even throw much. If anything, Linehan gets zero credit for 2016, when he should. Unlike 2015 when Romo went down in the beginning of the season, Linehan had all off-season to completely simplify the offense for Dak and to focus on a RG. And Linehan ran a bunch of routes for Beasley that provided an out for Dak, which defenses took away in 2017, which was a disaster for Dak.

Romo, when he finally had the OL and Zeke running 5 YPC on first down, got completely hosed for a mediocre QB and they still suffering because of it.

The reality of now is to sign Dak Prescott to a long term deal. Dak Prescott last victory in 2020 was against the New York Giants. Before the breaking of his ankle, He led the Cowboys to a 24-20 halftime lead drove down the field in the 3rd quarter after a Giants field goal on the way to an eventual TD by Elliott taking a 31-23 lead. With Dak playing a full game, this was going to the direction of a blow out.

All the Arlington Jonesboys fans must understand that Andy Dalton could not beat the same NY Giants in week 15 (cowboy season) losing 23-19. Therefore Dak Prescott was, is, and will be the best franchise QB option for the Cowboys to win. Prior to the injury Dak Prescott has never been on a team with a losing record since become a starting QB in Jr. High School. Growing up a Cowboys fan when the Dynasty of the 90's was long gone, Dak Prescott dreamed of leading the Dallas Cowboys to a Super Bowl. His first year in the NFL he was one Aaron Rodgers pass from going to the NFC Championship game. In 2018 he sent Russell Wilson's Seahawks home. 2019 he put the Cowboys in position to win another trip to the playoffs with a hurt shoulder but was let down by coaching to not have his best WR weapon on the field but looking on the sideline. This year, he had a Head coach that was in his Green Bay basement in 2019 hire a defensive idiot implement a new defense during a pandemic without off season mini camps or training camp that became the worst defense in Cowboys history (Dallas started out as an expansion team). Wrong personnel for the wrong defense with the wrong defensive coordinator. This lead to the reality of a 6-10 season.

Signing Dak Prescott long term will allow the Cowboys to focus draft capital and free agency assets on defense where it should have been during the lost years of Dak Prescott rookie contract. But, the Arlington Jonesboys fans have Jerry Dumbo GM Jones. Most of the defensive talent on that Cowboys 2016 team have gone on to Conference Championship games and Super Bowls on other teams.

The Cowboys now have the 10th overall pick in a draft that has to be evaluated under a medical pandemic with college teams playing 6-7 games this season or without players declaring for the draft that were not on the football field in 2020. Why make things more difficult letting go your proven young franchise QB? With the upcoming NFL free agency, you should hedge your bets and risk it all by signing young players with NFL experience and trade for young players with NFL experience. They should be on defense and not a franchise QB or as some Arlington Jonesboys fans say a RB even though the injured Ezekiel Elliott had 979 yds rushing, 6TDs with 52 receptions 338 yds and 2 TDs. Remember he had COVID 19 to start the season.

Jerry Dumbo GM Jones must do what he has not done in +25 years...make smart football moves to build a Super Bowl team instead of building a country club for fans to attend to see its members.

This is the reality of now.
Reality?????? Are you serious, were you sober when you wrote this post? I can't believe a sober person could write some much garbage. Dakie P. is not a winner, oh yeah he wins a few games here and there to feed our appetites, but when it's time to showup against AVERAGE teams he craps down both legs. Dakie P is the shakiest QB in the NFL, for some reason at the start of every game Dakie's abilities to play this game are being left in the locker room. By the time he finds them the 1st quarter is over and the team is down by double digits. Can you remember the last time the Cowboys had an opening drive touchdown because I sure hell can't. Dakie doesn't have the capabilities to take this team to the next level and it shows week in and week out against other BOTTOM FEEDERS in this league!!!!!!!!!

2016 - Prescott beat Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay, Big Ben in Pittsburgh, Flacco and the Ravens, Zimmers Vikings, and doubled up on Cousin's Deadskins finished the season 13-3. Winner
2017 - Prescott beat Alex Smith/Andy Reids Chiefs, Doubled up on Cousin's Deadskins, Derek Carr's Raiders finished the season 9-7. Winner
2018 - Prescott beat Bree's Saints, doubled up on the deadskins, doubled up on Wentz's Eagles, doubled up on Eli Manning's Giants, beat Russell Wilson's Seahawks in the playoffs finished 10-6. Winner.
2019 - Prescott beat Goff's Rams, Wentz Eagles, was 5-1 in the NFC East finished 8-8. Not a Loser earning his 3 Pro Bowl in 4 years.
2020 Prescott was injured 5th game of the season but Lead the Cowboy in passing yards per game, QBR, and actual passing yards through 15 games playing in only 5 games accounted for 33% of their wins. Winner.

Sober up to the reality of Now!

Dak has done nothing to demonstrate he would have continued on the path to blow out the Giants. In reality he’s shown that he’d not deliver in the fourth.

And that isn’t even a basis to argue Dak should be extended, because Andy Dalton win that game and Jason Garrett and Columbo were in complete control at that point in time, meaning they were actually worse than when Andy Dalton played them later in the season with a more garbage OL and no Zach Martin. Plus, it was actually Zeke that dominant drive in the second quarter that burned over 6 minutes off the clock that gave Dallas their first TD and when Dak was injured it was Zeke and Pollard that dominated the drive for Zeke to score on a 12 yard TD.
Name me the Cowboys QB with 4 straight non losing seasons starting as a rookie QB, with 3 Pro Bowls in 4 years, 2 playoff appearances, a playoff win, and is 27 years old? Dak Prescott is 19-6 vs. NFC East opponents.

Arlington Jonesboys drinking that Jerry Country Club Kool-Aid again.

No, if we are going to play the hyperbole game, the all-pro OL and top flight RG, with Dak as the game manager and the weak link, is essentially 19-6 against GARBAGE NFC East opponents that have pretty much been wallowing in mediocrity ever since Dak got here.

You have been wallowing in mediocrity because you Jerry Dumbo GM Jones fired a back to back Super Bowl winning Head Coach, ran off another Super Bowl Head Coach, and hired a learn on the Job 1 year QB coach as OC then promoted him to Head Coach (history will repeat itself).

You Arlington Jonesboys fans drinking that Country Club Kool-Aid again. 13-3, 9-7, 10-6, and 8-8 in his full seasons as a Cowboys QB is not mediocrity.

If true, 4 years vs. 5 years could have been worked out with an option year. So Jerry Dumbo GM Jones is revising history again lying to Jonesboys Kool-Aid drinkers saying he would write a check for another Super Bowl. I guess that check will not cover a franchise QB or defensive players that can actually play (see KC Chiefs roster of ex Cowboys).

Jerry Jones and championship team should never be used in the same sentence.
Yeah..

But are you entertained?

The plan and simple truth for us fans is the only way the ownership changes is when the fans stop coming on Sunday once the pandemic is over.

Empty seats and lost revenue is the only language the Jones' understand.

Will that happen?

No.

So he padded his stats in 4 games against crappy Washington and the Giants (14 of his total 30 passing TD's and 1,234 of his 4,902 Passing Yards) yet against competitive teams Dak led Dallas to a total of 43 points in 4 games (an average of 10.75 points per game).....yet that is the defenses fault when the defense only gave up 68 points in those 4 games (an average of 17 pints per game)??????

2019 Dak vs. Washington and Giants (4 Games)

I don't know how anyone that watched that season could think the Cowboys offense was really good. I guess they look at stats and averages and convince themselves of it. Like 27 PPG. Had they actually scored 27 a game they would have been 12-3-1. But they piled on points against trash and struggled against any team with a slightly above average defense. Always an excuse, the weather, a good defense. There are no more good defenses in this league. It's not like the Cowboys ran into the '86 Giants. Defenses range from crap to a little above average.

Liar liar pants on fire. What is it the number of years, the dollar amount, the terms? It does not matter your Owner and GM said you would not believe the check he would write for a Super Bowl. Liar liar pants on fire. Dak can't be that dumb when he has $31.4M in his account for 5 games and will be a priority NFL free agent as a franchise QB..."Cha-Ching" again.

Jerry Dumbo GM Jones will be chasing the ghost of Xmas past in Andy Dalton and Matthew Stafford. Dak will be next year's Tom Brady going to a loaded team and will join the likes of Hitchens, Ware, Wilson, Ward, and all the other Ex-Cowboys that left the Arlington Jonesboys country club for Super Bowl rings with other teams the last 25 years.

The Arlington Jonesboys will never win a Super Bowl or get to a NFC Championship game even though the dress up in Dallas Cowboys uniforms. The Country Club living is enough for Jerry Jones and his Arlington Jonesboys fans.
