I’d trade for Stafford in a heart beat

My point is there have been many bad trades in the NFL and it was said Stanford would be released outright which will never happen. And the Galloway point was Jerry did trade 2 first round picks for a very good receiver not the best but a very good receiver. One of the worst trades ever.

The Joey Galloway trade blew up because we lost Troy Aikman. We were left with nothing at QB. Stafford may or may not be released out right we’ll just have to see. I certainly wouldn’t trade a premium pick for a 12 year QB that hasn’t won anything.

The point is you might not but there are some GM’s that might. Were you the one who said he would be released outright? That’s not happening. Aikman was near the end of his career the guys were taking a role everyone saw that expect Jerra of course. So he doubles down with the Galloway grade hoping for a miracle. He was taken advantage of by Seattle. No matter how you slice it was one of the worst trades in NFL history with our without Aikman getting hurt.

I don’t see anyone giving up a first round draft pick for him and I said he would be released but that it’s possible he could be traded.

I’m willing to wager a lot of money that he will not get released. I see a second round pick and I wouldn’t be shocked if someone gave a first.

I would consider it. But I'd rather go to the Draft Tree.

How old was Jim Plunkett when he started bouncing around? Probably 30ish.

Stafford has been in the NFL longer than Dak has and has no playoff wins to show for it but some are willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that he can take the Cowboys further than Dak can. And are willing to give Stafford more chances in the NFL while they are ready to get rid of Dak.

It’s funny how some fans seem to relish the idea of the Cowboys having a castoff who has a losing QB record and zero playoff wins as the teams starting QB. Many Cowboy fans were pulling for Andy Dalton to become our starter who won nothing in Cincinnati and now some are hoping we acquire Matt Stafford who won nothing in 12 seasons in Detroit. The hate for Dak here is unparalleled.

Stafford is supposed to be better than Dak and yet couldn't elevate the Lions to even one playoff win in his entire career there. Now if Dak had no playoff wins on a team like the Lions in 12 years then Dak's haters would say that it proves he isn't a good QB and yet they're willing to give Stafford a chance. Boggles the mind that Dak is held to a higher standard and expectations that some other QBs who have gotten drafted in the first round.

Look at the result you can get with Stafford and the amount it will cost you vs Dak. Plus Stafford is just a better qb. Better arm, more accurate. He is a great talent stuck on a crap team for over a decade.

Based on what? Over the past 5 years Dak has a better completion percentage 66.0 vs 65.2, better YPA 7.7 vs 7.5, better Int/att 1.7 vs 1.8 better TD:INT ratio 2.65 vs 2.58, better QB rating 97.3 vs 96.0 with Dak playing 3 less games. Dak outperforms Stafford in nearly every stat with Stafford having 7 more years to hone his craft. If you compare Stafford's first 69 game the gap is even bigger.

Some people just throw stuff out there with nothing to back it up....oh, except I forgot about the scientifically and statistically accurate eye test.

which one was wanting elite pay and played at an average level.
I guess someone should have paid Tim Tebow. His percentage is better than Dak's.
Tebow has a 47.9 percent completion percentage for his career. Exactly how is that better than Daks 66 percentage for his career.

Do you guys even try to say anything remotely true or just throw crap at the wall and see if it sticks

Why even waste keystrokes on an old, average QB who has much difficulty in the playoffs? He's no Brady.
