Brees, Brady and Rodgers are all likely done at various points over the next 3 years. Matt Ryan is 35 with his best days behind him and Stafford is likely going to be traded (one would think they’d prefer to trade him into the AFC). Kirk Cousins ain’t it in Minnesota. The two “sure thing” QBs in this draft are likely going to be picked by AFC teams.

Other than Russell Wilson in Seattle, who in the NFC has their long term answer at QB currently on the roster? Are Kyler Murray, Jimmy G and Jared Goff better longterm answers than Dak?

I’ll be interested to see who makes a run at Deshaun Watson, but to be honest outside of Seattle I wouldn’t trade our 5 year QB forecast for any others in the conference right now.

The bigger point though is that there could be a real paucity of QB play and resulting team quality in the NFC going forward.

If Dallas figures out defense they could be in it

if Washington figures out offense they could too

the giants are another if they could average 20 points per game because they would’ve easily won the east if they did

Tampa could be a powerhouse if they draft Bradys replacement which they will

Deshaun Watson...
what a colossal moron.

Brady wins 6 Championships and has 20 years in the NFL, yet isn't even re-signed by the Patriots.

Watson has accomplished nothing except stats - yet thinks he should have the final say in the GM and head coaching hires.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

All this talk about QBs, and it doesn't matter if the Cowboys keep trotting out garbage defenses.

Brady threw 3 picks today. His defense forced a punt after 2 of them. The Cowboys would've given up 17-21 points.

This is the biggest changing of the guard that I remember as an avid viewer. Certainly going to be interesting. I’d imagine we might see a few Tennehillesque reclamation projects to come.
Closes I remember is when Elway, Marino, Young and Aikman all called it quits within a short timeframe.

Tampa is an older team.

AFC is going to be tough to beat for minimum the next ten years.

Herbert is ascending now too and Trevor Lawrence is about to join the party in Jacksonville.
You’re right. Might as well drop the entire NFC and make it AFC only til Herbert, Mahomes, and Lawrence retire.

Look what’s happening down there. They fire Bill, who made all kinds of crazy moves (including trading Hopkins). They then go out and hire another Patriot (Bill Belichick) disiple in Caserio. The team is going no where. JJ Watt is also displeased and has been rumored of wanting out as well. All Watson asked was to be updated on who they were interviewing for GM and HC and he wanted them to ask his opinion (remember the team is going no where) on who they are interviewing (don’t think he asked for “final say”). The Texans didn’t do that and hired a guy from the place they got the last bump. I don’t blame him for wanting out.

In fact, Brady has thrown three picks in FOUR Championship games in his career and never lost any of them. What does that tell you about a good defense and good coaching? Our quarterbacks have had zero margin for error for the last ten years.

Detroit is basically in not so secret double rebuild mode. I’m guessing they’ll trade him to the highest bidder figuring he’ll be out of the league in 2 or 3 years a not much of a threat to them for anything meaningful!
