The window has re-opened for a long-term deal between the Cowboys and quarterback Dak Prescott. A long-term deal between player and team hasn't happened. Here's what has happened: A long-term deal between Prescott and Anheuser-Busch. Dak has such a straight forward character, his endorsements will make him a wealthy young man before he cashes a check on his new contract.

This is what I complained about with Elliott. The ancillary money for a well known player can be almost as substantial as his sports pay. Elliott was branded by an unscrupulous woman and a league looking to right the Ray Rice wrong. That cost Elliott millions going forward outside of football.

Doesn't help that he is a knucklehead. But then Randy Moss in his first Thanksgiving Day game was the player of the game and got a turkey leg. If you recall he leaned over with fists on the table and didn't look at the camera as he was interviewed.

Now he sounds like a complete professional talking head on TV.

However, Dak is going to be huge for a very long time. And I suspect if this Bert and Ernie management can actually get him a line and a defense, he will rise to the top of this league.

Lol. I only drink beer to chase nowadays.

Unless it's a high quality beer like Gulden Draak.
Looks like a tasty beverage I have never heard of. I’ll be sure to find some when I head over to my diner purveyor of adult beverages. The Budweiser though will be picked up at the local DK (formerly 7-11) n da hood.

It is. Dunkin is their official coffee. I can't stand either.
I have been addicted to Bones Coffee's bourbon barrel aged beans lately.
Delicious. Perfect with a Chemex pour-over.

The more money Dak makes in endorsements, the more likely he will sign a modest deal. When I say modest, it will still be enormous, what the market bears, but maybe he won’t hold out for insane money.

This goes to Jerry’s point that the QB of the Cowboys is making WAY more off endorsements than the Colts QB or any other QB so why have a top tier contract.
