Prepare to learn the hard way what I already know about paying QB's and you should've learned from countless NFL examples including our own Tony Romo.

You pay great.. You pay good like they are great then you will not win crap. Don't believe me? Start paying attention then and you will.

Wow, I am amazed you are posting on a forum like the rest of us dopes and that you don't have a big NFL job because you are so brilliant... <sigh>

LOL.. There's really no point discussing football with you. You do realize there is NO ONE in the whole league that shares your opinion about Dak. There is a reason EVERY single talking head says Dak is the #1 Free Agent. You don't get that ranking by being "not a diffrence maker". GTHOH....
Brandon Carr does not agree w/ you.

Yet another example of how much better discussion would be if the QB discussions were limited to their own little threads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brandon Carr was definitely a miss but I'd rather take a chance on 1 guy like that than 5-6 old bums whose best days are well past them.
Not a miss, a very poor player evaluation. Carr had the very obvious skillset of a #2 type CB. I still cannot comprehend how he was considered a top tier FA. Never made sense. #1 CB's have speed. Carr did not.

Cowboys were desperate that year, he was one of the top #2 CB's available. They paid the going rate I guess. Carr was good for availability/durability but he was not a ball hawk or speedster type corner. They definitely overpaid but not sure they had a choice that year. The secondary has been a mess in Dallas for two decades.

teams don't game plan for Packers run game. in fact they are still pretty much committee as they don't like Jones to take on too many touches; he's not a big load back
and he has to be paced. and it's a difference between Laffuer liking to add a run game and more balance but everyone knows their bread and butter and what
opposing team still fear and game plan most is the Rodgers' passing game.

and BTW, the Packers were a lot smarter and creative in their designed run game than what I continue to see under Kellen Moore.

At least Packers will employ some sweeps and pitch outs to the edge than keeping trying to run it up the gut like Kellen keeps trying to do to a fail.
right 27yards by Mr Jones odd isnt it EE got fried for only having 57yards in layoff game while he had 3 others all over 100yards if memory serves me..the coach is responsible for this most times and the packers literally didnt run the ball especially in the RZ and it cost them especially late..

odd fornette ran better then all of the packers players and hes cast off..its about commitment to the run game and yes if the defense is stopping it find creative ways to get your backs open in space like the Chiefs do..they just dont run the ball up the middle and off tackle they make sure they get an advantage nearly every snap.. all this talk about how great jones wa sand how much better he is then zeke didnt age well.. :)

KM needs to learn this..

Question of the Day: What would it take for Dallas Cowboys to also be Super Bowl Contenders too ?

Its not about KC Chiefs - as they have a phenomenal QB in Mahomes and an HOF head coach but look at how they build that team around those two to challenge being a dynasty for years to come.

- Look at the Bucs, who were going thru the Jamis Winston overall No.1 pick and years of mediocrity
but look how that management went out and got the HC, the aging GOAT, they already had skillful WRs
and TEs but they built a champioship contending defense and an OL around Brady

- Look at Buffalo who have been hideous and one of the losing organizations for decades since the Jim Kelly days ..but look how over the years they have build a SB contending team around a HC, QB and other
elements on both sides of the ball ... only KC Chiefs stood in their path to play in SB ..

- And you know GB contended this year with a 2nd year HC ....there's always some questions about their defense rising to play championship defense - but at least they are in the NFC title game

And then where...how close or how far are we the Dallas Cowboys from finally contending for NFC title games and our very own legit SB runs .....

the only way we become a contender is if the NFL becomes a two team league, then we have a chance to get in.

A wise recruitment of players through trades, drafting, and free agency, accomplished with a staff unencumbered by an owner that's also the GM.

So, the answer is NO Super Bowl for You!!

There's always a choice. Unfortunately, Jerry has people believing there isn't one.

The Cowboys have been treading water and will continue to do so as long as the organizational structure remains intact.

Jerry & Stephen, as primary decision-makers, have had more than enough time to prove they can do it. They can't.

Worse still, their egos won't allow them to delegate those responsibilities. They'll keep tryin' until the day they die.
