Best interior defensive linemen available in the 2021 NFL Draft and free agency
It’s officially team-building season for the NFL, and that means all 32 franchises are spending countless hours figuring out how to shape their rosters for 2021 and beyond. And one of the big decisions is whether to address positions of need via the 2021 NFL Draft, the upcoming free-agency period or the trade market.

Teams assess their weaknesses and look at all potential options in a given position group. In this series, we’ll investigate the strengths and weaknesses of all positions this offseason, with an eye toward the draft, free agency and the potential trade options.

Here’s a look at the 2021 market for interior defensive linemen.

The Giants have to sign Williams and 1T DT are less coveted so this will be a great time to steal Tomlinson from them to solidify our interior. Then draft Nixon in early rd 2 and we have a real DL

Wonder what's Tomlinson market value?

Done. 3 years / $9M per year is what we offered a washed Gerald McCoy, and he of course did nothing.

Re-check your numbers. That isn't what mccoy got. And Tomlinson will get way more guaranteed than mccoy got

Good thing the Giants also have to sign Leonard Williams and might now want to also sign Tomlinson

Paying a 1Tech... $9M every year for 3-4 years is a lot to ask from an organization that paid around $3M last year for a starting 1Tech, and shocked most of us.

2cents: Move on from Gerald McCoy. It's embarrassing how they need massive help at DT and their fooling around with a old, injured, declining player. Time for Gallimore n Hill see what they can do at 3Tech.

Don't get your hopes up about Tomlinson. Not the Cowboys side, but rather the Giants. Here is NY, Giants told teams that he wasn't available at the trade deadline and he was considered a core player for them moving forward.

With Williams and eventually Lawrence I don’t think the Giants are going to spend to keep Tomlinson. If he hits the market, a team with the worst run defense in the league can justify paying the player. This isn’t a cap issue. This is an owner and his son who think they can get away with throwing crumbs at a bunch of has been players. It doesn’t work for this organization.

Marcellus wiley always jokes about how he stole from Jerry. Jerry gets what he pays for

My bet is McCoy is coming back. He evidently stayed on this year giving advice to Gally. According to something I read yesterday was with the lower cap vet salaries will decrease and a player like Suh who made 6 million this year, might make 3 million this year.

This is a good year to have cap space and sign guys to 1-2 year deals with the uncertainty if things will even be back to normal in a few years.
The way they are rolling this vaccination out, and so many unwilling to take it I wouldn't be surprised if they is a 2022 issue.

We gave McCoy 3 years/$18 million with a $20 million max. Dallas doesn't shop on the upper shelves.

I'd be happy with Tomlinson or Rankins. I do not think the Giants will sign Tomlinson if they sign Williams and I do think they will sign Williams because they saw what he can do down the stretch. The Giants have only about $10 million in CAP space going into 2021 and I have to believe Williams will cost them that much in year 1 of a new deal.
