He doesn’t want 40 million. And we can build a defence thru the draft. And have a 2-3 year window. Just have to hit on our picks
He wants a very high salary and I don't blame him ,but the Cowboys should not pay him. We have a chance to reset the franchise and get some some assets for Dak as the league is really desperate or courageous.. Its time to be smart and extract value. Do not overpay the guy.
Someone like the Colts/ Niners, teams that are ready will give up good pieces for Dak. Sign a distressed asset and let Big Mike coach him up.

Shazam, that's it!! Hit on the picks. Why didn't we think of that before Charleton, Hill, Smith and Vander Esch?

I agree, that 40M was floated by the Jones trying to make him look greedy, we do not know what the magic number is. But soon, all will be revealed.
Thank you.
The more picks you have the more success you will have.

If they win a super bowl is it worth it?
Of course it was worth it.
We haven't even been past the 2nd round in 26 years. Wake up!!! This team needs a reset. Just saying we like our guys isn't going to change anything.
We need to stop liking our guys. Hate to say it, but Dak is a good QB, not a world beater. He is really just slightly abover or in the same range as Goff, Wentz,Cousins, Jimmy G range. There is no shame in being in the same group as those guys.

Because the NFL draft is and always been a crap shoot gamble it is not a written guarantee; it's just the process of the matter philosophy and strategic
that come to play: You just have to do your best due diligence process as much as possible as your scouting dept can, and i also think it's about a knack.too some teams have it, some do not.

- Cowboys scouts had their guy in sight in TJ Watt, ..but gave way to other influencing factors such as Rod M vouching for Taco
- Hill looked like he was emerging and coming on before the IR; who knows how Rod M hindered his development per rookie year.
- Many were disgruntled with LVE pick - but reversed course when he shined as an impressive rookie before souring on him again the last 2 years.
- Jaylon was considered a top 10 overall pick by many draft gurus B4 his college knee injury. i still have no problem with a 2nd rd gamble pick.
- Do Lamb, Diggs, Gallimore, Biadasz look like hits early on now ?

All picks under the Marinelli Garrett regime. It seems we are going on talent now. The right way. And Quinn knows how to draft good defensive players

You don’t let go of Dak. Period. We have 10 picks in this draft coming up. We can make significant strides in resetting our defence in one draft. Tyron is coming back. So is Collins and our line is good. Our offense is good to great when Dak plays. Just need a defence that doesn’t give up 40 points a game.

Man, I'm a big Dak fan, but that draft haul is something else. I would totally trade him for 2 1sts and a third, draft a young QB and start again. Wow! With the shape our D is in, it's not like we're going to the SB any time soon

:hammer:

We all know that there is something bad in the water in Detroit, what I want to know is how did they get that water piped all the way to the West Coast?

If anyone actually thinks they are going to trade for D Watson needs to re-think that after seeing what this trade deal hauled in.

D Watson better re-think if he is going to leave Houston. Will take a minimum of (3) 1st rd to start trade talks

That may be the case but the moves they've made aren't any different than what Jerry would do. They are incredibly reckless moves. They've wasted Aaron Donald's prime just like Jerry did Ware's.....

At least the Aaron Donald and the Rams have been in a Super Bowl , dueling it out with a Dynasty team,.. we can't even come anywhere close to
a NFC title game. Rams have been a better coached team than the Cowboys, and they've took more sensible advantage in free agency and trades
to boost their defense while we bargain binge FA and don't make the impact trades to help the defense. - and it continues to rear it's ugly head and
impact the season year in/year out as a result. :(

I mean you can put lipstick on a pig all you want but at the end of the day these moves have bene reckless and haven't been working just like Jerry. If Jerry made these moves you guys would kill him for it and you know it. It just doesn't sting as much because its not our team doing it.

But like I said to another poster....a huge difference is McVey. But Garrett was Jerry's McVey it just didn't work out. You can literally make parallels to the moves they've made and to the moves we've made the past 10 years.....their McVey signing worked...ours didn't. Just like how they traded for Sammy Watkins and it failed? We traded for Cooper and it worked......

so essentially the rams have thrown away 4 1st rd picks on goff...2 to get him...2 for detroit to take him.
mcvay is no boy wonder.
he's an over-rated,over-hyped skinny jean wearin' moron.
hell after this stupid trade...jerry looks a helluva lot better as gm.
screw the rams.
screw the lions.

What they do with the picks is irrelevant to the trade. The Rams got raped, but at least they allowed it.
I think that’s to be determined...win the super bowl and they won the trade...and that’s what it’s all about.

Well this is the rub for me, does mcvay really think he can beat the chiefs just by getting stafford ??????????
If so he isnt too bright.
Aside from Brady this year, I dont see any of the other teams beating KC in a SB.
I would say Mcvay believes, yes. And thats is how this trade will be judged. I’m not sure why he didn’t wait for Watson...that would be a good fit.
