Anything other than offensive player or trade back is probably a mistake at 10

That’s the way the board is shaping up. I know some are touting the two corners are in play at 10 but neither corner is worth what we could get in a trade back. Neither are worth #10.

sorry but offensive player would be mistake dont care of its OL or TE etc..no way we can afford to do that this year..trade down yes IF our scouts feel like those Cbs arent worthy at 10 or parsons doesnt fall to us..we need Defensive starter day 1 from that spot..

the draft wont shape up until all the scouting is done and new information comes into lay there will be fast risers and fast falling picks before April gets here.. FA and daks situation will also play a role in our draft board Need vs BPA..

Yeah, I was looking at that too. Probably get one of the top 3 later in the first round anyway. I was kind of hoping OT Sewel would fall to 10. But I don't think that's going to happen.

If Dallas traded back to around 18 it would cost the other team at minimum an additional 2nd.

Offensive players will always look more talented to the layman because they put up big numbers that are easier to quantify and see in a game. Every year, you "must go offense" guys pop up making some kind of laughable excuse why taking ANOTHER offensive player is what we must do and sadly, we keep doing it.

Yet its now somewhere around year #20 where our offense is stacked and our defense either sucks or holds the team back.

Only way drafting an offensive player makes any kid of sense is if Smith isnt coming back, Collins is a question mark, AND a top player/Olineman falls to us at 10.

That beings said your claim that neither is worth the 10th pick is both laughable and dead wrong.

Both of the top 2 corners would be an amazing pick at 10.

It would be an egregious error for the Cowboys to take a defensive player at #10 that is just “ok”. Pure stupidity.

You have to follow the draft board. That’s why I think you will see us take an offensive player at #10 or trade back. I think the offensive player there at #10 might be too good to pass up.

You aren’t going to see the Cowboys trade back from Randy Moss to select a Taco. If a blinking light offensive player is there at #10, I think he will be a cowboy. That might be Sewell, Pitts or DeVonte Smith or a couple of others.

Unfortunately for us this draft is offensive talent heavy.
Even if there was a stud blue chip DT he wouldn't drop to 10 anyway.
I would take Pitts over any of the projected top defensive players that could be picked in the first round .
You have 9 more picks to address defense.

Trade back would be nice to possibly get another top 50-100 player. With all the QBs projected to the first round we might get some nice offers.

That’s the way you have to look at it. This board is going to melt down when that happens.

Been saying trade back for months. I just hope then can find a team wanting to move up. Even if it's just a couple of spots at least the Cowboys would get a 4th rounder.

Whoever they take @ #10 better be a no brainer 2nd contract player.
Yes. NOT a Taco.

Parsons seems to be the type of guy we would normally “wildcat” for in the second round. We CANT miss at #10.

Have to trade back if we can't draft a good defensive player at 10. From there it's BPA on defense or a T on offense. Nothing else matters.

Dallas can probably get one of the top 3 corners if they trade back. Plus we'll probably get an addition 2nd for doing it. The defenders simply aren't there this draft. Pick #10 is too high to be drafting the best available defender this year. It would be wasted.
