SS wants Dallas to sign him to a huge contract not because he thinks he's worth it - but more so because it would cripple their cap situation. He's said that before.

Yes, the brash, jokester part of Shannon has said that. But, the serious part of him once again nailed it - the Non-Exclusive Tag ends all the BS.

I don't because I don't get into arguing with my TV, I'd rather come here and argue.

And you don't have to seek out these programs, anyone talking about the Cowboys gets their stuff repeated here.

Plus arguing here is free.

Gee another non Prescott person trying to push the hate Prescott standard line that the Cowboys now sense something different and aren't still interested in getting him signed. Gee what a surprise. I don't know how many times Jerry and Stephen have to say that Prescott is their QB for now and for the future before the haters stop their totally ridiculous spewing of their way of thinking.

Bingo.

Good guy - Bad guy routine. Rinse and repeat.

Remember a ways back when Skip hated Dallas. Tony “Romeo” and Team Obliterator

When he was on ESPN he constantly would hate on Romo and the Cowboys. Now when he switched Networks all of a sudden he pretends like he was always a fan and supporter of the Cowboys. Skip Bayless makes all Cowboys fans look bad when some believe that he is a true fan and he isn't.

I'm not a dak hater or anything but he's not a Quarterback that will take the talent around him and drag them along to the playoffs. I think stephen is seeing that with his merry band of helpers. Jerry on the other hand is looking North to seattle and a certain disgusted QB named russell wilson. Remember everybody under the sun and with a grain of salt the so called experts he may get a run to try and pry him from pete's cold hands. But what ever happens dak has burned his bridge back to jerry's heart and you might as well pry the whiskey bottle from his hand as put dak back in the huddle

Yea, Jerry's always been the guy who would happily overpay for a guy and yet something happened here where he simply has checked out of this narrative. I suspect the unwillingness to budge on the 4 vs 5 years issue when Jerry was willing to make concessions regarding the dollar amount rubbed him the wrong way.

Until Prescott's signature is on a multi-year contract, the Jones' words are not going to dissuade fans feeling or thinking the QB's time with the team could come to an end. And if the parties come to an agreement, a new uproar will begin from the fans that comment that the terms are too much, ridiculous, will cripple the franchise, etc.

People can say what they want, it's just how believable the spew is. If it's contrary to what those who have first hand knowledge of the situation and what they feel then that will make it unbelievable.

Even if they tag him, he'll still make $36,000,000.00 plus.
So....no need to feel sorry for o'Dak.

Obviously the Cowboys have seen something they aren't fond of. Maybe his ankle, maybe his late (behind targets) throws down the middle. Who knows but there's a weird smell a foot
Yup. Something is always weird when someone wants $45,000,000.00 per from you to play football.

At 12:00 min mark interesting how NFL Executives polled say there is 0 chance Dak is long-term in Dallas.

I like their discussions. Always good show. I also think Jerry made a huge blunder by not at least TRYING to get Brady for 2-3 years at 25mil/yr and letting Dak walk. Even these guys knew he wasn't "washed up." Then they could've used the draft and free agency to rebuild the trenches on both sides. That's where games are won and lost when they can protect a guy like Brady and get in the face of opposing QBs.

It's time for both parties to move on. This team has so many holes that it doesn't make sense to wrap up 20% of the cap in one player. Blow it up and start over.
…..so the Franchise is rebuilding again?

I love Dak. I hope they pay him what he wants. He’s a top ten quarterback at least.

I also understand the counter argument, which has nothing to do with what Dak can or can’t do. Quarterback salaries are high when the player is one of the best in the league. They take up large percentages of teams’ salary caps. In recent history, the quarterbacks on Super Bowl teams are either on their rookie contract or named Tom Brady, who consistently takes contract below his market value.

If you pay good quarterbacks their market worth, it doesn’t leave room for much else.

I can't stand the greedy one-foot gimp. He's nobody special, sheesh. Trade him, cut him, I don't care, just move on from this self-centered a-hole.
