No mistake. Both sides would be at fault in this dilemma.

Move on and rebuild would be the best solution as signing Dak to a massive contract is the final nail in the coffin of continuous mediocrity

Signing Dak wouldn't be the cause of mediocrity any more than Garrett was the cause. They are symptoms.

Dak or no Dak the mediocrity is still going to be around, screwing things up as they have for 25 years.

Key statement in that tweet's video piece ... "He has no incentive to take a team-incentivized deal." Not going to work out well for the "don't pay players" crew, is it?

Good job, Jerry. Hard to believe this organization hasn't played in a title game of any kind for 25 years. :muttley:

Some people say Dak lost leverage - he's got all the leverage now. He gets what he wants, or plays on the tag for $37M then becomes a free agent next year.

Yeah Jerry had some real leverage last offseason and he punted it away.

No mistake was made as Jerry didn't believe in him 2 years ago and the same holds firm today.
Yes, they are trying to find a trade partner but I fear to no avail.
Expect Prescott to be released and have Winston's fate in FA.
Cowboys will move up in the Draft and select a QB with their 1st rounder.
Dalton will start the 2021 season.
That's all for now folks.....

Yesssss...

Zoners finally starting to see it..

So many bad contracts already and a QB that doesn’t impact the outcomes of games wanting elite QB money.

Either avoid this or sign ourselves into mediocrity. Those are now the options.
I won't be able to find it, but I said this prior to JG getting fired.

When JG left so should have Dak. Start over already, stop delaying it.

Thing is, the Jones boys (not to mention a few fans) convinced themselves that the Cowboys had a "loaded roster" and were ready to win in 2020.

They signed a few names on the back end of careers, recycled McCarthy, and thought they were going places. That's how clueless the Cowboys have become.

Good luck starting over with the same two jokers calling the shots. I've seen this story more than once and know how it ends.

Remember the years of “let him finish the deal to see what we have. It’ll be worth it in the end”

That stupid take we had to listen to for 2 seasons.

Then there's guy like Crawford, MB3, and Miles Austin who we paid early to get ahead of it and they fell off. Sometimes it's wise to wait, sometimes it's not. Unfortunately we suck at making the determination.
