You need a great offense and a great defense to win a Super Bowl

Great Offensive teams mostly lose to great D's in the playoffs. Just happened again.

I would argue that KC stopped being a great offensive team when all the shuffling on the line finally hit critical mass. Once the line fell apart they became a great QB with good receivers but no time to find them.

And that's one of the reasons. Not hard to derail the O w/ a few injuries.

Man needing a 43 year old to inspire you to play better.
Just look at the interviews and how the players pretty much say he gave them a confidence they didn't have. And Brady is not just some 43 year old, he's the goat. If you don't think him being there instilled confidence in them then you're crazy

I don't think it's far fetched to say that Brady brought some swag to the Bucs locker room. Inspiration is underrated by many. Given that, and how much our guys believed in Dak, it's inconceivable how many Cowboys fans want to discard him, but then point to what Brady did for Tampa. Whether people want to accept it or not, Dak inspires his teammates that same way. Not to the extent Brady does.. because he doesn't have 6 (now 7) rings but the general mpact is the same. The guys believe in Dak and put it on the line for him. Yes there are other guys who do that for their team.. Wilson.. Rodgers.. Mahomes.. of course Brady.. but the list aint that long.. we got one.. we should try to keep him..

Chemistry and leadership right? Even though word on the streets is Dak has great leadership attributes.
Yes.
Amassing talented players is important, of course, but having a person who can galvanize the talent around him, to believe in the process, and to pull in one direction is just as important. And it doesn't always have to be the QB.
.
In the early 90s, Cowboys had one such player; Michael Irving. He was the spiritual leader of that team...yeah, E. Smith, Novacek, Harper and Aikman to a lesser degree. These were mainly just very good players. But Michael was the guy that fired up the whole team. And once they start winning it got easier to get excited about playing...and it steamed rolled, 3 SBs in 4 years.
Novacek said similar thing in an interview few years back.
.
Currently, the cowboys have no such person, who is charismatic enough to be a real leader. Everybody is about self, and the next contract.

Having evaluated Super Bowl champions, the elements they have most in common is an offense that can score a high percentage of their drives and an opportunistic defense that acquires takeaways.

The defense isn't necessarily dominant as far as limiting yardage as they are composed of playmakers that shine in the big games.

The high scoring offense goes hand in hand with the defensive takeaways as they provide short drives a couple times a game.

This is what I see when you average out each SB champions rankings in each category. The top two average ranks are in scoring and takeaways
