They should comprehend better then..

If I’ve explained to someone nicely why I said what I did about Mahomes and Watson and then they take what I said and go back to a square 1 insult then they should be prepared for some negative feedback by me.

I get it all the time on here and rarely give it back.
Right on. Go on with your bad self.
Rationalize the insulting.

Is it rationalizing or is it what happened? Maybe go read through this entire thread again or just take my word for it.

I explained to him nicely.

He comes back spouting crap.

He got some of it back.

I love that teams aren't afraid to cut bait no matter where the QB was drafted or how much you paid him in an extension. I'm hoping that the market for QBs that are not Patrick Mahomes elite, gets reset. Build the whole team and win a championship. Unless you have Aaron Rodgers elite.

I didn’t call you a name but I apologize if I offended you and I would appreciate if you didn’t misquote things I’ve said.
you didn't offend me. I have been called a lot worse and laughed...

I don't misquote, I take what you said, if I am not clear, I ask for clarification. I am a very direct person and don't mince words and big enough to admit when I am wrong instead of insisting and trying to spin my way out of it with word jumbles.

so you don't want to pay the QB, but you are ok with paying QBs. ? so only patrick mahomes and rodgers deserved to be paid and the rest can go and *** themselves...is that your whole point.
why are you so against the QB market value of NFL....how do you build a team? what does it take? etc....easiest path to the superbowl is with a QB. because otherwise it will cost you three times more and 5 times as more difficult. Ravens did it, couple of times, once with Dilfer but they had an all time best defense with 3 or 4 HOFers.....they cost a lot to keep. Chicago went all the way to the superbowl, on the back of their defense and that team had quite a few stars on the defense..... the market is where the market is. you learn to work within that market and the parameters of the league....

“You can’t just pick up the phone and dial 1-800-QUARTERBACK.” - Bill Parcells

Let’s look at the quarterbacks who we can all agree are the best in the league right now, in no particular order. By the way, there just aren’t many good QBs in this league anymore.

- Ryan Tannehill (1st, 8th overall)
- Patrick Mahomes (1st, 10th overall)
- DeShaun Watson (1st, 12th overall)
- Aaron Rodgers (late 1st, 24th overall)
- Lamar Jackson (late 1st, 32nd overall)
- Russell Wilson (3rd, 75th overall)
- Dak Prescott (4th, 135th overall)
- Tom Brady (6th round, 199th overal)

It’s a crapshoot for sure but 5 of the league’s top 8 quarterbacks are still first round picks.

Which is why they get valued in the first round more than they probably should be. Teams know it's their best chance of getting one, even if it's not close to a sure bet.

This thread isn’t even really about just Carson Wentz Catch. It’s about how hard it is to find QB’s in the first round.

Point to where I am “celebrating” his trade to Indy. I’ll wait right here.
Wentz isn't a bust but yet Sam Bradford was traded for a first........ as it stands right now that's more than Wentz got.

QBs will always have more value than they are actually worth. Being traded for a 2nd as a QB is like a 6th round for a different position.

Never said I'm not ok with paying QBs. But Wentz and Goff and Qbs of their level should not have the massive contracts that the Eagles and Rams gave them. Those deals should be reserved for the elite. Anyone on a tier below or several tiers below should be paid a tier or two lower. Thus, enabling the team to be built up around them without them eating all of the cap space.

Just because you aren't paid elite money and aren't elite, does not mean that QB and team can't win a championship. It also does not mean that QV is not very good. Not a knock on the players it applies to...just the reality teams and the player must face. Once that occurs, the building of a team around the player can occur. IMHO

MARKET VALUE......At team discretion.

We do NOT control either/or.

It is.

Carson Wentz is not a bust.. Nobody trades that for a bust.

You guys celebrating are being fools.

Who’s trading away young quality QBs?

He’s a coin toss at this point. Could be good, but could just as likely continue to play in the manner that got him benched last season.

MARKET VALUE.

Totally understand capitalism. I live it and love it everyday. However, the market is set by the consumer, not the product. Unless the product is a rarity or scarce. Elite QBs are scarce or rare...the product dictates the market. Anything under that is set by the consumer.

NFL teams have been allowing the opposite to occur. Any QB equals we pay top dollar. I'm suggesting that 32 consumers are starting to reassess possibly. Hence why some are willing to cut bait no matter the age of the QB or where they were drafted or whether they are in year 2 of an extension.

He had 1 bad year and people are over reacting.

1. I don’t know how healthy his back is..

2. I don’t know what was going on with him and that team.

3. The Eagles offense was falling apart before and during the season.. Had our offense had the problems the Eagles offense did the excuses Dak would get from this fan base would be unreal.

Wentz beat Dak in a win and in game the season before.. There was just too many problems in Philly this year and I think the Colts got super lucky.
