Get on record of who you think we should move on from and why.

I think the Cowboys should definitely let X. Woods walk. He sucks.

I think if the Cowboys go OT in the first they should flipTyron for a first if they can get it.

I would seriously look at flipping Amari or Gallup for a first if the opportunity presents itsself. If they have no intention of resigning Gallup a second or third might even get it done.

Connor Williams. I would move on from him. Weak link player. 3rd and he is gone.

Sean Lee. He’s done. He should not be on the roster next year.

Chis Jones. Enough said.

I wouldn't let Williams go that's crazy. It's hard to find quality OL and regardless of the hate he gets he is solid. No need to make the position weak....... now if you want to upgrade him that's fine but keep him as backup or swing guy for depth.

I'm keeping Smith as well

If they want to resign Gallup then Cooper goes but Gallup goes if they keep Cooper...... personally I'm keeping both of them to have as many weapons as possible.

I agree with Woods, Lee and Jones needing to be let go.

They are gonna have to keep a few that aren't fans favourites just to fill out the roster. Who the fans like isn't their issue anyway.

I want an actual defensive mind to develop and reinvent the entire defense.
Is Quinn that mind?

Players that'll never be anything.
WR Jon'Vea Johnson
QB Cooper Rush
CB Chris Westry
CB Saivion Smith

Backups that's not good backups.
LB Azur Kamara
WR Malik Turner
DT Eli Ankou
TE Sean McKeon
FB Sewo Olonilua
QB Garrett Gilbert
CB Jordan Lewis
CB Rashard Robinson
SS Darian Thompson

Paycheck-n-play won't/don't match.
CB Chidobe Awuzie
DB Xavier Woods
DT Tyrone Crawford
DE Aldon Smith
LB Jaylon Smith
RB Ezekiel Elliott

We can say goodbye to all of those guys and still be as good...as we can be.

I can see teams cutting expensive WRs, and needing a cheap replacement. Lamb could net an Adams like return or better if we find a contender that's a willing trade partner.

I don't believe you will get many serious posts in this thread, from what has already been stated.

I agree with a lot of your points here V. However, we would be lucky to get a 7th rounder for Tyron Smith in a trade. His injury history makes him far less attractive in any kind of trade, and thinking we could get a good draft pick for him is probably not realistic.

Like you I would consider releasing Connor Williams. He’s just never been anything beyond mediocre and after 3 seasons, I’m just not sure there’s upside to glean. If not this year, definitely next year. And yes, we certainly need to move on from Sean Lee, Ty Crawford, Xavier Woods, Chidobe Awuzie, Jourdan Lewis, Aldon Smith, Chris Jones, Noah Brown, Blake Bell and Cameron Erving.

I would certainly be open to trading Cooper or Gallup but Cooper with that contract would be very difficult to move. Gallup on the other hand, with his last year on a rookie deal would probably yield a better trade.

This offseason is going to require some outstanding personnel evaluation from Will McClay. We MUST have an outstanding draft and free agency to retool this roster, especially on defense where we may be looking at 5 new starters there in 2021.

No team would trade for Tyron since he is constantly hurt with neck and back injuries. I doubt a team would even trade a late round pick for him.

I think it’s possible that they keep either Chido or Lewis. Personally of the two I would rather have Chido. I would rather have Chido as depth, not a starter. But I’m not sure he is worth anywhere near starters money.

Why would they trade the youngest , least expensive WR with the most upside? For what? A first round pick that would probably be lower than the pick used to draft him in the first place?

I think it all depends on what you think you are getting with Tyron. Tyron COULD be a high level OT if he is healthy. If you think you are getting a reasonably healthy Tyron, a team desperate for line help might jump on that at a bargain contract rate.

If you are a building team (I think we are) he is too far into his useful cycle to be a cornerstone of this team longer term.

I said for an Adams like return, 2 firsts and a 3rd. More years of control and having shown his talent, the return could even be more than what the Jets got for Adams. I'd trade him in a heartbeat for the right deal.

xavier woods.
he hasn't gotten better.
some of that im sure was coaching but i put alot on him as a professional.
the "can't give 100% all-time" comment just didnt sit well with me.
tell that to mel renfro or cornell green.
its why they are 2 of the greatest to ever wear ☆.
their want to was all the time.
its time to reinvest another pick in the s position...a little earlier maybe (rd 2).

having said that...we need bodies.
depth.
and i cant imagine a long line forming to sign him.
he could easily be re-signed.
and if that happens...i hope its for depth.
ive seen enough of him starting.
