Back when Troy was just getting started with Joe Buck, some of those older stadiums could get downright cold. There is nothing like a shot of hooch to warm the bones. This so-called "rumor" is not surprising.

I would love to see one of you photoshop gurus replace those microphones with a bottle of Jose Cuervo and a bong.

You ever think about how much has changed over the years? Back in the 30s, 40s, 50s, hell even 60s through probably 80s I'd say, that wouldn't have been thought of negatively.

I still don’t think of it negatively bro. As long as you aren’t driving or operating anything dangerous.

why not.

I didn’t think it was possible for me to love Aikman anymore than I already did.

Now I know why Troys eyes were always crazy bloodshot.

Reminds me of when I worked for this really large corp thats been around since the 40s...I would see the pics from years ago of the conference rooms where everyone was smoking and drinking. In the auditorium, there was ashtrays and drink holders on the backs of each seat. That only really stopped in the 80s but no one even blinked. Unless they were putting together cars or airplanes, I dont care.

And I used to drink it during history class in high school. So what?

Howard and Dandy Don being sloshed during a broadcast was classic. Howard and former Eagles owner Leonard Tose were friends. Tose would always send a bottle or four to the broadcast booth for the crew when the Eagles were on MNF. Howard was quite drunk during one particular broadcast to the point that ABC talked to Tose and asked him to not send any liquor to the booth during games.
heck he puked on Merideth one time.

On a serious note...I give no *****

Not in a, "why did someone post this" way, I get why, but I probably wouldn't even care if I saw a glass with tequila in the background

I feel like that's a dying sentiment. I mean, I don't really disagree and I think much of it has to do with the type of industry you are in but I don't believe that the majority of people agree with that. Why, I don't know but I suppose that's a different discussion and probably one we can't have on this board.

I verified the rumor that Howard puked on Don's new ostrich skin boots one night and Howard disappeared for quite some time during that broadcast and I could tell from Gifford's delivery that something was going on. I found out later from an ESPN producer that was with ABC on the MNF broadcasts that really happened and they were all laughing so hard they had a hard time doing their jobs. He said Don would be OK for a little bit and then go off and they'd all lose it again.

It's pretty funny. And it's not a big deal. I'd definitely need lots of alcohol to put up with Joe Buck in NFL broadcasting. Maybe he's more interesting outside of a football booth, who knows?

They'd be doing it on camera, with a cigarette in the other hand.
