I am greedy too. We all are. So what?
I have made some short term greedy decisions I regret.

Think big picture and long term. No point in turning down a good job in a good location at $32K because you want $35K like your friend got in a different city.

Not me. Have never been greedy with material things, or money. I've seen what greed does to people.

Dak isn't a bad QB, but the guy hasn't won anything that makes him worth 37 million. What has he won? Good guy, but the dude will not bring us a ring.

I know this thread is similar to previous threads, but I beg of you Jerry. Do NOT sign him to a new contract. I'm good with a QB in draft and having him learn behind Dalton for a year or two. Dalton is cheaper and almost as efficient.
Who do you want them to draft at 10. Lawrence, Wilson, Fields and Lance will all be gone probably.?Lance is not good by the way. You can’t just say don’t sign Dak, who is your future? If you say Dalton at 13 million a year, close the thread. Andy is exactly what you say about Dak. He is a good guy who never won anything with a top five roster in Cincinnati for several years. Now try again. Put a name out there and let us critique your name

Not sure about resigning Dalton, but I’m ok with moving on from Dak. Both Jerry and Dak are to blame for not coming to an agreement last year. The injury and a limited cap space complicates a contract even more.

The only way I see Dak coming back is he and Jerry having a sit down, Jerry will then hand the keys over.

I get having some reservations with Dak but to say Dalton is "almost as efficient" is ridiculous.

Dalton will be worth 10-15 million a year if we sign him as our starter. That is a great deal of cap saved for a guy that is almost as good Dak in this system. Dak is a better player but not that much better in a case where we shell out that that much money.

Well, the point is that Dalton can get us the same 8 wins Dak got us in 2019. The difference is that signing Dalton allows us far more cap space to improve the defense. This team is loaded on offense no matter who plays QB. We will go as far as the defense takes us.

So if anyone dares question the mindset behind signing Dak to a large contract they should go follow ANOTHER TEAM????? Yeah, cancel culture at its finest.
Lol. I was kidding. Settle down. I actually agree with you against the cancel culture.

DRAFT ALL DEFENSE.
AMEN! I don't care who you roll out there right now, our defense isn't holding up. Draft D all day. No need to reach. Let them fall to you. Don't get fancy. Don't try to outsmart everyone else. DEFENSE!

I really don't think it is. Oh, they can do a deal to keep him but they cannot build a good enough team around him.

There are things going on behind the scenes that I’m sure we have zero clue about so I don’t think we can reasonably rule anything out at this point
