I did this simulation through Pro Football Network.

Farley was taken ahead of us at 9. Jax sent me a trade offer that is an exact match on the trade chart:

Picks 25 & 33 for 10. They moved up for Kyle Pitts

25-Bolton LB Missouri (here is our instinctive, tackling machine, Mike LB)
33-Grant FS UCF (Moehrig was gone, fills a huge need)
44-McNeil NT NC State (the ideal fit for our 1T, didn't want to risk losing him)
75-Stokes CB Georgia (I think the CB's will stretch, here is our speed outside guy)
99-Turner DE Houston (one of those tweener who can play multiple positions)
115-Christensen T BYU (our developmental Tackle, with position flex)
138-Wade CB Ohio State (this late, worth a flyer, especially as a nickel corner)
Four possible starters on defense but no star players. Pass. We need a star on defense. You don’t trade down that far for an extra second. We need to get a 1st next season as well. You could have stayed at 10 and used our other picks and get a similar haul. Your draft will be remembered as the draft that got Jacksonville 2 top 5 talents.

1 star isn't going to move the needle much for this defense and we don't need one at every position. This team has always struggled when one of their stars goes down or underperforms, cause our depth is usually undrafted fa level talent. This team needs to surround this so called stars with quality role players.

-Bolton might be the most instinctive LB in the entire class where he doesn't get beaten with misdirection, like Jaylon/Lve and yes Parsons
-Grant is a huge upgrade at Free Safety over Xavier Woods, he is a play maker on the back end.
-McNeil is the best NT in the entire draft and he has some rush abilities, another huge upgrade at the position.
-Many feel Stokes is a 2nd rd talent who can start day 1, but due to the depth, the position could stretch to rd 3.

4 day 1 impact starters, yet you would rather have 1 star and two lesser players

That's a good draft. I really want to improve our defense but I'm leaning towards taking an OT higher.
If we stay at 10, I go back and forth with taking a Corner and a Tackle. Both positions have great depth this year, where if they decide to go in another direction, they should be able to land a quality player later on in the class.

The Cowboys would be better off taking Pitts themselves. We would have the best offensive weapons in the league. You don’t make that trade without getting more then a second round pick. You gotta give us next year’s one. Bolton is solid. I can find solid in the third or 4th round. Weakside linebacker are a dime a dozen.

I think he would be more of a slot only player, but that is fine if he is good there.
I think he can get some S work and be a versatile nickel guy. Kind of how they use JLew when everyone’s healthy.

I like this draft, but our corners are absolutely crap in this scenario

We are in essence getting another 1st rd pick as it's the first pick in rd 2. The trade is an exact match on the trade chart. Bolton isn't a weakside linebacker, he is a middle linebacker in the mold of Kendricks from Minnesota.

Is Pitts special ? If he’s a guy that is mentioned in the same breath as Kelsey and Kittles then that’s a tough trade to make. Would you rather have Kendricks and Thornhill or Travis Kelce ?

I'd love it but
