Does Dak Being the Best QB in the Division Factor Into Your Decision to Sign Him?

Winning the division should never be a goal, it should be a given. Winning the NFC should be the first goal and it won't happen without Dak.
It is not going to happen with Dak neither. Have you missed the teams that are realizing that overpaying a QB is a losing approach to building a good team? Teams are trading these overpayed QBs as quickly as possible , with great cost , to start rebuilding. We are past arguing about the like or dislike for Dak. The situation caused by signing Dak to one of these huge contracts is proving to result in massive failure and wasted years in all of the similar situations. Signing Dak will ruin the Cowboys for the next decade.

I don't care about the division. Especially the current version. So no.

True. Look at the competitive advantage the Pats got playing in a terrible division for the better part of a decade. Sure they still had to finish the schedule and go through the playoffs, but 6 easy wins is huge for momentum.
Exactly. And in the NFC East you pull down 6 wins that's damn near the division lately. So yeah that's a pretty big deal.

Wentz and Goff didnt' get traded because they are overpaid. They got traded because they SUCK. How will signing Dak for a 4 year deal ruin the Cowboys for the next decade? WTH? Talk about extreme lol. They've been ruined for 25 years without signing Dak to a contract so how is now signing him to a deal going to ruin a piss poor ran organization?

Jerry does not want a four year deal. Not only will Dak’s huge contract kill the salary cap for the length of the contract, but it will also effect the team for years afterwards while they replace Dak, if he decides to leave, but it will take a few years to obtain another QB and have a chance to make the playoffs. Signing Dak to a contract that overpays him is certainly not the way to improve a piss-poorly run organization. When it comes to the other overpayed QBs , their teams certainly thought that those QBs was good enough to deserve the contracts. They got rid of them because the QBs and the teams were tied to a contract that wasn’t working out for either of them. The teams were doing well when they signed the QBs, but the supporting cast declined as the QB’s contract started taking away cap space needed to sign them. If you want to measure the the level of success that teams have after overpaying a QB with a huge contract, look at the Super Bowl winning QBs that won a Super Bowl after signing these franchise killing contracts. After this method of building a championship team has been exposed as being a failure, I guess you want Dallas to make the same stupid mistake that other teams have made.

Whether they thought Wentz or Goff were good enough is debatable. There were questions but they didn't want to be like the Cowboys and be the last ones to the table in getting those deals done. So I guess using your argument those teams will be ruined for the next 10 years correct?

I'm not interested in what other teams do because every Super Bowl champion has won their championships differently and if you are going to chase what they do you will be sitting here with your hands in your pants looking CRAZY.

Yes.
Do you sign him to $170,000,000.00 deal just because his is deemed the best in NFCE?

Mahomes
Rodgers
Wilson
Jackson
Murray
Allen
Stafford
Watson
Brady
Ryan
Tannehill
probably have to include Herbert as well.
Thats just off the top of my head, I might be forgetting 1 or 2 more.
Yep, and this list is why you don’t belong in a qb conversation.

He is entitled to his own opinion so who are you to tell him he does not belong in the conversation?

I’m the guy that new dak was the real deal from day 1. Your the guy that still hasn’t figured it out.

you don’t belong in a qb conversation either.

but let’s put it to the test. List the qb’s in the nfl better than dak.

With all due respect, if you are going to question my knowledge at least do so using properly spelled words: it's knew, not new....it's you're, not your.

You are welcome for the grammar lesson for the day.

yep....always enjoy a good laugh as you trolls list any qb you can think of.

your the only troll dumb enough to post a list. At least xtroll has enough brains not to post a list as laughable as the one you posted. Hebert was my favorite from your list.

although I do like Hebert, to put him in ahead of dak after his rookie year is beyond hilarious.

The Rams just traded a QB who was 2-2 in the playoffs and lead them to a super bowl appearance just 2 years ago. I guess their bar of excellence is higher than ours.
