I’m Just gonna pretend I wouldn’t be having a fit over Joneses pay because we are paying someone else whose pay I am currently complaining about.

I didn't watch miami games this year, so not sure how he played, but it doesn't matter. Qb's didnt throw at him here. I would have rather have Byrons contract over Zekes. Byron Diggs and Cheeto sound really good in hindsight

He wasn’t terrible. He just wasn’t worth the contract. He was a similar player to what he was here.

Playing opposite of Howard made him seem worse. Howard had 10 picks to Jones 2

Jones was hurt at least the first part of the year. Don’t know how his health was the whole year. That probably contributed. Also he has a good CB on the other side that’s much better than Chido so QBs have to throw at him sometimes.

Byron Jones did a good job imo. Once he came back Flores ran a lot of cover 0 blitzes leaving Jones and Howard in one on one coverages.

He got beat a few times deep time to Kirk and Algohor to name a few players but it wasn't till he came back from injury to when that defense started to shine.

If they didn't have Jones and had to trot out Needham and Igho they wouldn't of had so many positive defensive showings.

Hes over paid but is a positive asset to Miami. They had cap to burn

Byron is the type of cornerback you let go sign elsewhere because of his limited ball skills. The problem is you can say the same for Tank at defensive end, limited sack numbers. Zeke at running back, lacks breakaway ability. The Cowboys kept two mistakes even though Tank does play a premium position. Extending Zeke made no logical sense.

Can’t explain why the Cowboys extended Jaylon???:(:confused:

Yet, I'm guessing teams are chomping at the bit to sign Awuzie to $10M+ and Lewis to $7M+ contracts. Announcers just love saying ex-Cowboy and NFL fans are all ears hearing anything 'Cowboy.'

I guess Miami paid market price for Byron Jones. We learned Byron Jones' lack of INTs was not because of scheme, not because of coaching, but solely due to Jones' technique, lack of ball skills, and not even looking for the ball.

Vikings just extended Bailey and now he is fighting for his job in Minnesota. Probably be a cut and the Vikes will eat dead cap money.
