I think what he's saying is what many have said about the Cowboys, including Jimmy Johnson. They're just happy to be Cowboys. You get to be a star and winning doesn't matter.

No team shifts blame from players to coaches better than the Cowboys and some players like that. Must protect the performers.

Imagine that, a rebellious player chaffing at Jason Garrett’s stern rules… Garrett set standards that players had to meet, and Irving didn’t like it.

The guy finished one season having an 8 week high ankle sprain...usually 4 To 6 weeks. Another season he had a concussion for over 6...usually 2 weeks. Played a whopping total of 40 snaps before going out this year. When he said he doesn’t like playing football he wasn’t lieing!

I don't see him saying that and Gruden is a well known task master as a HC.

When he mentions "hardy har har" and America's Team, I don't think he's talking about Garrett.

What other team with a record like this has a DE making up a nickname for a mediocre DL? Isn't that a great clue as to the real problem with this team? They think they're special and have accomplished nothing.

They have the Cowboys Mystique of the 70's team without having that as a team. They're not football players, they're performers.
