I am in Mock Draft Madness Mode

More snow here in NY so I have been indoors messing with this simulator. Somehow got addicted to it. I am running a bunch of Cowboys drafts. Almost every time I am trading down in RD 1 to acquire more day 2 picks. Typically I am going OT in Round 1 and then all defense. Browning or Collins early in RD 2. DT and S in round 3/4. CBs in 4/5. Loading up at DT and LB. I think Dallas needs to get MUCH better right down the middle of the defense. Any offense is if a RB or TE falls to me. If I were king for a day 54 and 21 have played their last games in Dallas. What do you guys think is going to happen draft week?

I haven’t seen a simulator but I have seen a few mocks by CBS, ESPN and some others which all lean towards a CB or defense in general. IMO- anything other than a defensive player would be a huge mistake. Every year we read from the likes of Spags, Eatman that it’s best player avail. That would keep us in mediocrity purgatory. Whatever that means...in other words we get nowhere fast.
To your point of acquiring day 2 picks...I’m taking someone who can start in week 1 in round 1.

Thats addicting. I did a trade down with Tenn got this yrs 2nd and next years 2nd and a 3rd and Parsons fell to me.

I just got an A-. Moved down and got Surtain at 20 and Cosmi at 44. Campbell, Cisco and Tremble next. Those were my highest rated picks. So I replaced Smith and fixed my secondary. My other drafts have been more LB and DT focused. I really think they need to trade down and just get as many good players as possible.

So I took Miami just to see what would happen. I'm sitting at #3 and one of the teams who want to trade with me is the Cowboys.

Dolphins get: 10th, 44th, 75th picks, and Dallas' 1st round pick in 2022.

Cowboys get: 3rd pick. They drafted DeVonta Smith. Traded away their first 3 picks and next year's first rounder for another WR.

Even the simulator has "Jerry Move" built into it. :muttley:
