It was a red flag coming of college. If I remember correctly the reason he wasn’t able to garner allot of playing time was because he was in the dog house. Then in his rookie year he slept threw a speech and showed some other flashes of immaturity.
i mean when you have to have a great idea like rod to make someone sign a contract that they will work hard before drafting them....that speaks volumes imo....

You got nothing but a silly clip. You have no idea what level Collins can even play. No idea what surgery he had. No idea if the surgery will limit him in any way. No idea even what happened to him this year. Little communication between Collins and the team. Maybe you took what his agent said as 100% truth.

The Titans took Isaah Wilson with the 29th overall pick in the 2020 draft. He's a complete knucklehead and didn't play. They are moving toward a divorce. GM called him out and he says he's done with the Titans. I'd normally say they wouldn't cut bait yet but the GM just called him out. This is the ultimate Jerry move. I'd offer our extra 4th and hook this guy up with Rob Davis - this is literally why Davis is on staff!

Wilson got some money and his immaturity really showed but at 6'7" 340 he projects as a smothering RT, a decent LT, and an intriguing G prospect. I'd definitely move a few of those supplemental picks for this guy.
That's why player evaluation is always tough.
Wilson was the top OG candidate and had dominated in the SEC plus he could play on either edge and probably make Pro Bowls at RT.
But interviews and investigation matter.
You do not want dudes who do not love football, period.
The short lived thrill of elite performance will crumble as they waste their athletic talent right in front of your eyes while you pay them to be bums.
See David Irving.

This type of dude is really the last thing this locker room needs.

Not to mention the team expects Collins to play RT this year.

Also this draft is deep with capable OTs. Can probably get one in the mid rounds.

I can't see bringing an angry type of head case or whatever his problem is.....to sit on bench here.

Time bomb. Let him be someone else's problem.

no. no no no....enough of the lazy knuckle heads, head cases.....what do you expect to happen. if a team spends a 1st rounder. premium pick and they are walking away after one year...that should tell you a lot.

Why wouldn't you take a flyer on a guy like this? We've never shunned people for their off the field issues.

no matter how much God given talent a person has, if it can't be controlled it warrants three words. " That's a shame".

I went to school with a guy that had all the physically any one person should have. He could turn backwards and still out run us in sprints. lol

Never made it through a single season. :( Dallas has a long history of taking flyers on this type of player. It has very seldom worked.

You're as big of a nut case as he is for even thinking about bringing a nut case to the Cowboys.

Pennies on the dollar and reclamation projects. The Cowboy was since 1995.

Price and his love for football.

Would be tough to shell out a pick if he doesn’t want to play. I know nothing about his story so just playing devils advocate

You either have it or you don't and I'm thumbs down on this dude. Immaturity in my book = Underachiever, No heart, Gutless and Over hyped which the Cowboys have enough of those types on the payroll and they don't need another one walking thru the doors. PAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSS

You don't change a culture by only dealing with certain types of players. You change a culture by having players hold each other accountable and having the supports they need to be successful. This is the entire reason McCarthy brought in Rob Davis. Why would we have a guy like that on the staff if we weren't going to use his skills?

Lemme see, 21 year old acts like a knucklehead. Titans high-level staff has had what appears to be zero contact with him since placing him on NFI.

Yeah, that's how an organization should handle their business. Kids can change their behavior but apparently the Titans have no understanding of how to promote such changes.

How many of y'all said this about Trysten Hill?

Dude straight up wins the starting job out of the gate and got tons of praise from the vets for his work.

But yeah, I'm sure all your decisions at 21 were rock solid.

Is the reward worth the risk? Huge red flags with this guy. I imagine many teams would part with a 4th rounder or more for him. I'm guessing it will take more to trade for him.

I'd definitely give Tenn a call. Throw around a few names like Trysten Hill and Jaylon Smith :) Tenn needs defense line help.

If Tenn needs defensive help, I doubt Smith and Hill would be in that conversation

Shhhh! We know that. We don’t want to advertise that.

Hill and Smith just weren’t used properly. They need a change of scenery to maximize their All-Pro potential. Sell it like that. Show some splash plays. Both had a few against the Giants in Oct.

Oooh oooh another immature lineman! Trysten Hill isnt enough.

Pssst. Hill showed up last year and was praised by the vets for how far he'd come along. He also showed he belonged with his play.

Maybe you should watch some games and change your opinions when things actually change.

there are 100 other 21 year olds that don't act like a knuckle head. and given our defense and the state of the defense and the GM, our organization is better off without knuckle heads.
