Todd France is the tempest in the tea pot. Dak better decide what he wants.
He already decided he wants to keep him as an agent, disappointing those that thought he'd dump him.

I give Prescott credit. This has been the longest drawn out negotiation that I can recall and he's played his part all through it. And the best move he made was not changing agents which would have signaled the Joneses it was France that wanted the deal, not Prescott. Both seem to have held firm.

Who do you think is more frustrated a deal is not in place, Booger or Dak? Part of successful negotiation when you're going for the top dollar is creating frustration in your opponent,

in this case, it behooves the agent of said player to get this thing rolling and fast tracked by playing ball with both parties. No time for BS after the year that was 2020.

Todd France stands to lose alot too if this Dak deal doesn't get done. He just joined a new agency and promised this BIG signing for them in Dak. He he fails to do so, its not good. SO, all parties involved need to come together and get real.
Theres always a middle. Same one that was there a year ago.

Its a matter of who is willing to wait it out longer in order to get slightly more of what they want.

The numbers are so incredibly large here the fact that a deal can't be struck is a joke.

One side has to be seriously stubborn here.

it could go against Dak and the Cowboys simply because Dak chose to give France another crack at it. Lets hope Dak didnt miscalculate.

If someone handed you 31 million for 1 year of work how upset would you be? especially since you were making 4 rd peanuts for 4 years? I understand players want the security of a longer term deal but 31 mill, Dak is not hurting. I would think Jerry is a bit more frustrated not being able to get Dak signed thus far.

The Cowboy's FO is losing at the art of the deal. They have no leverage. If they are saying they are hopeful of a deal, they are full of crap. They can either cave to Dak's demands or come March 15, watch another team give him a better deal the FO is currently not willing to agree to. Dak may allow the FO to match any offer sheet he gets from another team but that's only because he wants to be a Cowboy.

I'm "hopeful" that a reasonable deal is agreed to.

I believe Jerry will let Dak walk before he signs him to a terrible contract like he did Zeke, Jaylon, and Tank. I think any reasonable fan can see that Dak is just not at a level that can elevate this team to where it needs to go without a lot of help around him. We saw what he looked like pre Cooper, we saw what he looked like last year going 8-8 and only beating 1 team (A bad Eagles team early in the season) that made the playoffs, and we saw how he looked against the two good defenses he played this year (Rams and Giants). Yeah, he was putting up a lot of yards this year (minus the Rams and Giants game), but that is because we had to pass the ball from about the 2nd quarter on to even have a chance because of our historically bad defense. That defense will continue to be bad if we are handcuffed by another bad contract.

I believe we can win with Dak. I do not believe Dak will ever be good enough to win without a lot of help around him. I think Dak is more of an Aikman type. We can win with elite tools around him, but he will never be good enough to carry a team. Signing him to a 40+ million dollar contract eliminates our chances of putting the pieces around him that he needs to succeed. Also, all of this coming off an injury that we have no idea how it will affect him both mentally and physically.

You get it. I wish more fans did. I hope Jerry gets it.

I don't think he wants another tag year but I think he's willing to take that and go for the gold in 22.

There's the other element to this with Booger because he's out there, public opinion was heavily against him and most of the talking heads that shape opinions for those not paying attention put the blame squarely on him for not getting the deal done. Very little on Prescott or his agent but if you've noticed, agents don't get speared a lot in the media. Probably because most of the media have agents.

So I think the pressure is on Booger to deliver a long term deal and that's what most fans care about, just keeping him. If he does go through a tag year in Dallas, this will be his last as a Cowboy. And I believe that injury will come into play as well with additional pressure on Booger.

To me, this is so simple. It all comes down to like, Dallas Cowboys fans like Dak Prescott. That matters a lot to Booger and his marketing mind.

Dak's agent is not married to the idea of Dak being a Cowboy. Dak would be a damn fool to tell him otherwise.

Looks like many of you didn't read the article. It mentions that if Dak is tagged on Mar. 9th the 37.1 mill immediately hits the cap. That will prevent them from being able to do anything in FA unless they make massive cuts and massive restructures.
Oh wow. If that's really the case, that almost takes the tag off the table, doesn't it? It looks like either ride or die with him now.
