Does Mike McCarthy want to go another season without Dak

Besides Brady, has a quarterback? I didn't look it it up, that would be no fun. I know Kurt Warner got to a SB with two different teams, but didn't win both.
There are several QBs that have won with two different teams. Peyton Manning won with the Colts and Denver.

Do you really believe, Mike wants to go another season Without Prescott. After all he might be the first head coach ever to win a Super Bowl with the second team

I could see McCarthy *wanting* to sell Jerry on a longer term vision of letting him as Mr. QB Whisper try to find and develop QBs on the cheap. Dak is not McCarthy's creation, and having Dak around gives Boy Genius II a leg up on replacing McCarthy.

I kind of want that too.

Though for all the hem hawing over Dak getting a contract at 37mil or 40mil, that 10% difference could be entirely swamped by rumored increases in the cap from a new tv contract.

If a huge new tv contract is coming, it's time to sign players long term. I thought that was Jerry's strategy with all the extensions in 2018 for everyone but Dak.

Note: The impending tv contract is a reason was always a reasonable reason for Dak to not *want* to sign.

it’s not a fact it’s an opinion....an opinion that is based in historical trends, but an opinion nevertheless
It's a fact until he hires another HC and gives him at least 3/4 control. That is a fact!

There's only one coach to win NFL championships with two different teams. And that is ..... Weeb Ewbank. And technically the second was with an AFL team.
Yea. And the first one wasn’t a Super Bowl. Interestingly he beat his old team in the Super Bowl.

you guys clearly have no clue what the definition of a fact vs an opinion is.

unless you have a time machine or a crystal ball you are giving an opinion that we will not win while jerry is alive....you can keep saying it all you want but it’s not a fact

I agree, they should've been more frugal with Zeke, DLaw and Jaylon, but the fact that they did overpay those guys is exactly why they can't continue the same nonsense. Stupidity X 3 is bad enough, but stupidity X 4 is even worse.
I mean it depends on what you think of Dak. I think Dak is better at his job then all of those guys.

I believe it goes like this. Signed your quarterback. And let everybody else fight for dollars. I believe in the New England Way

If he were willing to go the first season with Prescott dont you think he would have made to it clear to JJ to sign this guy longterm ?

No he didnt.

MM wasnt convinced by Prescott when he came here. Now after major injury he is suddenly not going without him ?

He has 3 superbowls. Not many GM or owners can say that
Problem with Cowboys Nation is they want a Super Bowl every season. Acting as though it's an easy accomplishment & then bashing the Jones' & players behind their golden keyboards like they can do better.

There's several teams who have yet to see that type of glory.

You're missing what I'm saying though. If you want to say that giving Dak 50 million instead of 37 stops us from helping the defense then that's a fair point.

But if you're willing to give Dak 37 instead of 40...I'm sorry whether it makes me stupid or not I just fail to see that 3 million giving you someone. And quite frankly, if the 3 million is so pressing to the Cowboys tell them to release all the deadweight on the team to get that 3 million back.
Not trying to cut in, but the money in the contract is so inconsequential, the only money that is important is the guaranteed portion, thats all the agent and player care about anymore.
3 mill is garbage.

That's your opinion that my comment was an opinion. And you may be correct but the last 20+ years are on my side.
Actually he is right (meaning what he said is a fact) that what you stated is an opinion because it can only become fact after it is proven, and proof will not exist until after Jerry has died.

Absolutely not. The entire team needs Prescott. He's a leader & the team is better w/him. All this talk about drafting a starting quarterback is ridiculous. Dallas made out w/drafting a franchise quarterback in 2016. They haven't drafted a quarterback since Carter.

You people honestly think they're going to roll the dice yet once again & draft another quarterback or pick one up in FA?! Been there done that. Dallas has much greater needs.
While I agree with you, the only reason I think you may be wrong is because IT IS DALLAS and that’s something so stupid it’s probably exactly what Jerry would do to set this team back another 2-4 years.

Well if we are thinking past 2021....the salary cap will be even HIGHER in 2022 and beyond. At least that's the belief. If we are thinking long term we have to also factor in the salary cap is going to change and be higher.
Salary cap doesn’t matter, you said it yourself. You told me that salary cap hell is just a figment of the imagination and doesn’t really exist.

Singing a different tune now, are you? Not surprised, you couldn’t even remember things we talked about the day before.
