Morning Pops and all y'all. Got my first vaccine this morning and no side effects so far except the predilection to write absurd and silly things so I am going to blame Pfizer for that. They had this set up at the local hospital and I was impressed with how they got everybody through.

I go for the 2nd on 3/24 and wait 2 weeks and will go see my family in Austin. Still be masking and distancing but at least I can lay eyes on them. My son didn't want me coming over until I have been vaccinated and was "safe" for everyone and I kid him about being a mother hen but he is one special Dad.

It's an unusual generational progression from my father to me to my older son. My father wasn't a bad father but he wasn't what I needed as an only and very lonely kid. I tried being a better father but always felt I was falling short and then I got to see my son become a parent. He is what I needed as a kid and my wife even pointed that out one time. I love watching my son and daughter-in-law with their kids, even when they're pushing all the buttons. Part of that is that it tells me at least I did something right and didn't pass on my father's challenge with his priorities and having a child.

We all think you're a great dad! Just don't try to hug us in front of our friends.

Afternoon Pops, afternoon Jobs. Afternoon Fellas and good afternoon to all who stop in and visit this thread.

Well, I'll tell ya, this year, so far is like night and day from last year. Business is busier and with the addition of the three new Grandbabies, I'm always busy, seems like. But today, I have some time so here I am!

Weather is turning nicer and that's good. Lent is also here so, for me, that means a nice day but no ability to have a nice cold beer. Seems like torture to me but I guess that's the idea. LOL......

So, how is everybody doing today? Tell me all about it!

Leon, dbrp, Xelda, zrin, Trouty, ksk, RGV, Coach, RWB, Ranching, SW, John, Jan, Corso and Colo, I hope you are all ready to have a great weekend, have something planned. If not, get your significant other on the line and make a plan!

Everybody, lets all enjoy the weekend. I feel like we need to here but remember, always be careful, stay safe. Now go have fun!

Gonna leave you with a song that always picks me up. Back when I was a kid, this was a great dance song. Of course, I don't dance much anymore but back when I was a kid, I was a dancing fool. Didn't matter to me if I could dance or not, I just liked to do it. This song was released in 1983, off the 1999 Album. This is Prince and "Little Red Corvette".

Have a great weekend everybody!

Good afternoon Pops and friends. I got the black cherry drink in Runny and with probably about 50% of my taste buds working, they gave it a tongue up. Thank you for suggesting it. It also kept me from taking a nap which I was hoping to avoid as I try to get myself back on schedule with sleep.

Thank you for the song, ABQ! Gotta love Prince and miss him. It's coyote breeding time in the south in case anyone was wondering when coyotes went looking for little red Corvettes. Now you know, ok it was news to me as well.

I've been in what's called a Covid mind fog with exhaustion. I've run out of three of the medications from the hospital and don't have to take two again. I've got hospital pills, GP pills and Caltrate. I wonder why I don't rattle. I sort of miss the nurses bringing one or two at a time while I ask 'whas that one for?'.

It's called the triple purification system and works great on air and water. I didn't know it worked on humans. Congratulations on the great job you and your wife did. Also, thank you for taking the shots. No one wants this virus.

Glad you like the soda, Doll! They also have chocolate, but I remember getting chocolate soda when I was a kid, but it was horrible and didn't taste at all like chocolate, so I'm hesitant to try it.

Good morning Pops and Zoner Friends!

What a great start to the weekend. After six months in a rental home, we are finally moving to our forever home near Kalispell, MT - so that's terribly exciting. Unfortunately, it's snowing and the temperatures are sub-freezing. We watched the weather for more than a week just to avoid this sort of weather and, as of yesterday, there was was no forecast of snow. I feel a bit like the Lloyd Bridges character in "Airplane" and his famous line, "I picked a great week to give up glue sniffing"

Anyway, the home sets on top of a tree-covered hill near the base of the Swan Mountain Range. We are just a few miles from Flathead Lake and a few miles from Glacier National Park. Stunningly beautiful. The cats are excited in their own cat-like manner, "moving? Cool. Time to feed us".

The only (apparent) downside is the internet... Apparently, the speed is measured in terms of download speed per fortnite. Have to check into a satellite connection.

The Australian Rules Football preseason kicks-off (pun intended) this week. We should do a Zoom meeting around a footy match and I'll narrate... In my horribly bad Aussie accent.

Congrats on the new digs and that view sounds awe inspiring.

Morning Pops and those interested in my experience with the vaccine. You're reading this, you have no choice.

Day 2 and my arm didn't even hurt as much as the flu shot, which turned out to be totally unnecessary. I didn't think this through. If I took these precautions every flu season, I wouldn't need the shot.

I have 0 side effects unless being tired is one of them but I am always tired, my sleep is out of whack. I am a narcoleptic by day and an insomniac by night. I think I have an owl spirit animal.

Nah, you just need to move to a different time zone.
