Strongly disagree. I recommend you watch all of the Texans games from last year. His impact would be minimal. At this point in his career, his name recognition is much bigger than his play making ability. Why do you think the Texans cut him? It wasn't because he asked to be released. The decision was already made to let him go. By cutting him the way they did, JJ did the Texans a huge favor and fell on the sword so the Texans wouldn't take any heat from their fan base by cutting the most popular guy on the team.

We don't have the cap space to be players in free agency. Dak is going to eat up all 19M in cap space and we still have to replace Jordain Lewis and Chido. We are top heavy in regard to salaries. We have 5 guys sucking down 50% of the teams cap. So, look for more jags on defense so we can continue paying the stars.

I think you overestimate what we have.

We do not have a running game better than everyone else, and our O-Line even when healthy now is not a top O-Line. This is not 2016. Zeke is lazy and the O-Line has gotten older, had guys retire, and can't stay healthy anyways.

The coach that "built Green Bay's team (not true) couldn't win enough games with a top 3 all time QB in his prime to even save his job. They have done MUCH better since McCarthy was let go.

Why would J.J. Watt want to join a historically bad defense? He's not going to turn anything around at this point in his career.

If I was a FA there's no way Dallas would be on my list of teams right now.

25 years and this franchise hadn’t won a thing. Can’t even get through a divisional round. Some players value winning. If you value a crap cultural with a dysfunctional ownership you come to Dallas.

As for Watt, he spoke out against the effort of his team, what do you think he'd say about this defense? He knows he's not the missing piece, half the defense needs to be replaced and the Cowboys are a bottom feeder in FA. I also don't think he'd be into the stupid "Hot Boyz" tag. He's a grown man.

McC did not build that team, Ted Thompson did.
Run game is not better than anyone else and neither is the OL

There's two versions of the Cowboys, the one they sell and the one players and people that know football buy.

I think the big guy has just had too many injuries and being one forced to watch them because of where I live, I agree.

The Cowboys need a frontline DL, not a rotational spot player, which is what he will be. The Cowboys need some beef in the middle to shut down the run and not depend on their MLB for tackles with 5 yard gains. That is not Watt at this point in his career. I do not doubt his heart.

Because it's rather simple: players that sign with Dallas are not focused on winning but simply getting the money whereas legitimate players focused solely on winning are willing to accept a little less money to sign with a team with a legitimate chance to win the Super Bowl.
