I'd rather let Dak walk and try to recapture the 2016 -2019 era again instead of just locking down what we have seen the last 2 seasons and thinking they can turn that into a winner.

All we will be now is the fighting Dak Prescotts. He should be good for your fantasy teams. Unfortunately our real life team will be stuck in mediocrity. The 1 thing we have going for us is our division sucks though so we may sneak a wildcard win in here and there.

History is really repeating itself like it did with Romo.
. I am more middle of the road on this situation.

Are you trying to equate 400 yds and 4 TDs, to 226 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT, 6.8 YPA and an 83.5 rating?

Can you explain what is so great about that performance?

He wasn't awful, just 'meh.'
Haters gonna hate. It's what y'all do. You reap the criticism that you sow. Deal with it.

I am pretty middle of the road on Dak and I think a majority of the board feels the same way. Would like to keep him but not at a sky is the limit price.

If Dak is offered $37.5 M per year and demands $40m per year what do you do? That’s Mahomes
Money and he’s NOT Mahomes at this point.

This is about salary cap room for the Cowboys. This is about ego with Dak. Are you going to let $2m per year (or maybe even $10) get in the way of winning a SB as the Cowboys QB? Think of what that would mean for Dak in terms of endorsements.

He’s pulling a Peyton Manning instead of a Tom Brady. Who made out better, longer term?
