Do it, Jerry.

Somehow sign and trade Dak and add whatever draft picks are needed to get this done.

Could you imagine what Wilson would look like with all these weapons around him?
Wouldn’t matter when teams are putting up more points on us through our porous defense. We’ve had the number 1 offense and top 5 more than once with Dak and it netted us NOTHING because our defense sucks. Unless Russell Wilson can play D as well then it would be a net loss.

Wow yes that's a shout. They had a SB team but for Brees who knee-capped them
Not really sure what happened with Brees. When Peyton Manning fell off the end of the world it was because his arm went completely dead. With Brees, seemed like something else.

Perhaps mentally? He knew he was retiring, he has a young family and just lacked the juice to compete at any cost? Brady is obviously a different animal

Wilson is worth the contract Dak wants though. If we're going to spend it on a QB I'd rather know I'm getting my moneys worth.

Also, in my opinion, I don't believe Wilson starts 1-3 like Dak this year. Wilson would not have allowed teams to go up 3 or 4 possessions on us without answering back with the weapons we have on offense.
that's the beauty of opinions everyone has them. Wilson fluttered down the stretch to the point people are talking trading him. I think Wilson would have definitely had the team 1-3 if he had the same circumstances Dak did.

Just saying, Dallas was not on that list.

No. Technically they were not.

They may also be picking actual cities.
New York , Miami, Las Vegas, New Orleans (maybe town and team's loaded roster)

And they may be wrong about that list. I see several cities listed that I rule out.

So. On one hand. Cowboyszoners "Dak holds on to the ball way to long that sack is on him!"
On the other hand. Also Cowboyszoners "Lets get Russell Wilson, who holds onto the ball longer than any QB in the NFL!"

Awesome

Clearly we disagree. While I would like to have this years 1st rounder, it’s not mandatory to fixing the defense. In my opinion, sound coaching will do more than any single player.

And as much as I like Dak, Wilson is better, especially if he comes with a lower salary cost for the next few years.
agree to disagree and doing it in a respectful way. I highly appreciate it.

I do think we need several starters to fix the defense, at least 2 more impactful players, and it would be hard to get those through FA, as Free Agents cost a lot more, are either older, injured, head cases or just plain super expensive if they are really good. you have to start with one, then another one.....a single player can make a big difference and allow us to build the rest around him....those high first round picks are premium and I think finding an impact defensive player is very critical. I don't see our offense as a problem. in 2018, KC averaged 35 pts per game...that's insane, yet their defense was 30th or 31st....2019, they improved their defense to 15th, very average. offense scored 28 pts per game, yet they won the superbowl..... I don't disagree wilson is better. but again, averaging 35 pts per game with a 30th ranked defense ain't going to get it done...and Wilson salary is 32, 37, 40 in the next three years at about 36M per year.... that's perhaps 4M difference, which ain't going to change this defense or help us find a FA for 4M that would be impactful....I rather have Dak and 10th pick this year and what ever pick next year to build the defense, because that would make a much bigger impact...than scoring 3 or 4 more points per game and having 4M on the cap.

I think Brees was a combo of injuries. We tend to forget he was in his 40’s.

I think over the course of seasons. He had little nagging injuries that just compounded on top of each other over the course of a season.

Not like a 25 year old who can get “banged up” and then feel better in a couple weeks.

At Brees age. You probably get hit and that “banged up” feeling lasts months instead of weeks.

I think at a certain age. The reduced recovery speed of injuries has a big impact on players.

Everyone know he's going to the Jet unless NY show interest. But I guess he feel as if he worn out his stay with the Seahawks.

Yes like when Zeke had one of his fumbles deep in the Cowboys' end of the field. Just exactly would Wilson have prevented that? And how would he have prevented the other team's offense from scoring after that fumble?

Could Dak have done better in certain circumstances? Sure, just like every NFL quarterback.

Just seems like Dak is being made the scapegoat for all of the team's failures since 2016...

That would legitimately shock me to see Wilson go to the Jets.
:omg:
