I’ll say this..

If you’re going to pay a ton for a QB I’d rather it be this then Dak.

But...

This is a lateral move for Wilson..

He would be leaving Seattle to basically come play in Southern Seattle. We are similar to what he has played under and had no post season success since signing his deal.

Also.. Dallas has a long way to go before competing for a championship and as good as Wilson is I don’t think he puts us in that conversation even though he’s much better than Dak.
But, but, but you can't win when you invest a lot of money in quarterback.....so that's changed?

Go ahead and take your victory lap when Seattle hasn’t traded him and Houston hasn’t traded Deshaun yet.

And if your argument is that Russell Wilson’s contract is what is holding Seattle back. Then I’ll just tell you you’re wrong and we can move forward from there.

you can’t honestly argue that Russell’s contract is holding Seattle back when their drafting has been atrocious for the past decade
The anti-Dak crowd is losing whatever argument they had lol.

Keep backtracking. That isnt what you said. You went as far as to say oh well I meant he needed a coach to help him bla bla bla. You cant admit you're wrong. Its not a good quality in a person. I dont think Byron Jones is either. But last season. He was. Statistically. And it isnt someone telling me. Its the STATISTICS that tell me that. You just cannot accept being wrong. Its weird.

lol.. I mean.. So I say Mahomes is a ultra talent that is wild, has a lot of bad habits, and needs a great coach to coach it out of him...

So he goes to Andy Reid (a great coach), sits a year ( to work on bad habits), and learns to to play within an NFL Offense (admittedly says he couldn't even read defenses until last season).

I am right! DUH!

Until recent years it was a joke to think a Texas Tech style of offense would work in the NFL. Not anymore.

Beathard spent his entire college career playing in a traditional NFL style offense and he has never fallen flat on his face as a pro.

Kaaya.. Who knows..

Watson.. I straight up missed. I do think he's a tad overrated but clearly he is far better then I ever expect.

Please Please Please read that over and over until your brain comprehends it because it does get really old trying to explain this to you.

Anyone else shocked that Dallas is mentioned?! Media and agents love to include Dallas for the clicks.

Agents use the Cowboys name to get deals done.....columnists, mediots and journalists use the Cowboys to bring in clicks and viewers. Like clockwork lol.

BSPN and Fox Sports owe Jerry and the Cowboys.

I dont know, maybe teams like the Bucs, Rams, Seahawks, Eagles, can explain those numbers better

Right so you are arguing the contract numbers are a detriment, but then wonder why I would counter that with arguing that there are reasons besides a QB’s contract, that might cause the team to struggle.

I mean the Rams and eagles. The QB contract itself was killing them. Not the fact that the QB they signed was playing like complete ***.

and not the fact that the eagles for instance have whiffed on a ton of draft picks lately and have a roster filled with old, overpaid, injury riddled players. (And you can ask just about every Philly media member and eagles fan and they’ll tell you that)

What did I say that made you think you have me in a gotchya moment?

Wilson is elite and they still can't put enough around him..

I don't really apply the rules to elite players because they have the slight chance of overcoming these team crushing deals. Guys like Dak do not.

I would offer Dak and the 10th pick

You cannot offer a player that is not signed to a contract. The Cowboys would have to tag Dak and the Seahawks would have to be amenable to a one year, $37 million lease. Not going to happen.

Then I fail to understand you since you just agreed with my point,,, apologies if I was vague.

I can't imagine why Wilson would want to come to Dallas.

That's exactly what I was thinking. He MUST have been getting hit a lot lately (especially in the head area) to think the Cowboys is an OK place to go to have better success..

comes down to price tag. if dak isn't worth $40 mil a year to this team "right now" then no QB is worth *that* money on *this* team. qb hasn't really been our OH HOLY HELL WE'RE DOOMED except for people who hate for the sake of hate. dak may not be worth $40mil a year but if someone is willing to give it to him, then to the people that matter, he is. great. that aside, will that type of $ in 1 position resolve this teams issues?

no. in my mind it compounds them. put brady back there the only thing we're sure of is he finally stops going to the superbowl.

this team needs some help and putting $40mil into 1 position won't address the rest of the needs.

Ok and when has Russell been elite and done ANYTHING in the playoffs? Because we know that first Super Bowl win had NOTHING to do with him being elite because he wasn't yet......

Only thing I could think of is that it's a good career move and the offensive unit in place should allow him to put up MVP numbers.

He was doing that to start the season. But as has been the story of his career. He starts getting worse as the season continues.

What's your point?

Hurry up and tell me so I can destroy it real quick.
I think you read too much into things sometimes lol. The point is. The reason Seattle isnt good, isnt because of Wilson or his contract. They have hit on 1 pick in the last decade. 1. lol.
