There are countless reasons why Wilson will remain in Seattle for at least one more season. Wilson signed a record-breaking four-year, $140 million deal to stay w/the Seahawks in April 2019. Remember?!

Do you think Dak could do what Wilson was doing in Seattle?

There are levels here and Wilson is on another one compared to Dak.

Yes, our defense would still be trash, but Wilson may not allow us to go down by 3 TDs while going 3 and out early in games, making the opponents defense play soft and forcing us to pass 95% percent of the rest of the game to even have a chance. Dak put up crazy numbers, but he wouldn't have put those up if he would've been able to do things early in games as opposed to late when the defense starts playing softer because they were able to score points while we went 3 and out over and over to start games.
what is it about? getting to the playoffs? all I hear from everyone is that Dak couldn't go far into the playoffs. Wilson and his abilities have gotten the team to the playoffs, he has a great coach that helps manage the game very well. but he is 1-3 in the playoffs since he has not had that vaunted defense. KC was averaging 35 pts a game. I mean, that's Dang good. really good, but they didn't make it because they had the 31st ranked defense. the year after, they averaged only 28 pts per game, but had 15th ranked defense and they won the superbowl....so how much better will this team get with wilson. enough to get to the superbowl. the only relief we get is 4M per year, not enough to get anyone of impact.....we have to build this defense and that comes through using premium picks on getting impact defensive players......and with wilson, I guess our window is three years, since his contract will run out and he is going to demand upwards of 50...which is something everyone here bulks at to pay for a QB.....without the picks in the first round, we won't be able to build a defense to make a championship run with Wilson in 3 year span.

I don’t wanna keep going round and round.. my point is that teams that pay so much of their cap money on one player are playing with a bad hand.

I don’t completely disagree with you. It’s not ideal for sure. I’m just saying doing so does not eliminate teams from competing for championships.

And I think it’s far worse paying big money to running backs.

Creative accounting is kicking the can down the road.

No arguments there.

Do you actually watch Cowboys games? Honestly.

What Dak was doing the first 5 weeks is exactly what people would hope Russ would come here and do.

I know you aren't going to agree with anything other than "Dak sucks," but you have absolutely 0 credibility.
I like Dak and his leadership abilities, but there is more to this story.

Which part of 4 ints and 3 fumbles in 5 games is Russellesk?

Dak had big stats in the first few games because we were mostly playing catchup from mistakes against bad or prevent defenses. He did not face the Commanders front 7 at all last year.

That would legitimately shock me to see Wilson go to the Jets.
:omg:

Well nothing offical but the gossip for past couple of years is the fact his wife want to relocate to NY. Now I find it odd Wilson is having the Seahawks to force their hand.

Only the Dak haters here make this thread relevant to be posted in the Fan Zone, otherwise, it belongs in the NFL Zone. Haters want Dak traded away and thus think a trade for Wilson makes sense.

 It's a bad idea.

I like Wilson. Throws the best deep ball I've ever seen.
But he needs a defense also to win. When the Legion of Boom dismantled, there went Wilson's Super Bowl appearance.
He can't do it alone. He's a great quarterback. He's not transcendent, though.
Even if he came here, I don't think the Cowboys would advance to the Super Bowl.

P.S. Cowherd said the Cowboy were one of the teams he'd like to play for along with the Saints, the Bears and the Raiders.

Uh, he had 7 INTs and 6 fumbles over the last 9 games last season..

The math doesn’t add up on those claims. Even if the Saints were somehow able to accomplish every single one of them.

A nice fan article however.

Over the years, I've never doubted teams' ability to make room for players that they want. This league is built around moving money around in the salary cap era. It isn't always easy, but plenty of teams have shown that it can be done.

BTW, there are other articles out there as well addressing how the Saints could do it, but I don't expect you to believe them either.

Surely the Seahawks would take a straight up trade of Dak for Wilson. The ‘church of Dak’ worshippers here have been preaching how good Dak is and his leg is ahead of schedule and will be better than before.

Or is Dak so good the Seahawks will have to add Metcalf to sweeten the pot?
No they wouldn't not only because the Seaoawks likely consider Wilson to be the better player, but because Wilson is under contract and Dak isn't. Nobody would trade a quality QB that has 3 years left on his contract for another quality QB that is under the franchise tag, which is where things are likely to be with Dak in the near term.

I think Wilson is a bit more of a playmaker than dak at this point. Wilson is a guy looking to make big plays down the field 9-10 times a game. Which id love to see dak do more of.

Yeah Russ has weapons... but the d isn’t as good as it was. The oline has never been consistent for him.... and the running game has been up and down as well.

They also play in a pretty tough division..... and he at times single handily keeps them in contention.

Huh?
Could this be for real???

It does seem about odd to think of Wilson not being in Seattle, but even if Seattle is willing to trade him I doubt Dallas will be a realistic destination because I would expect Seattle to have a very steep asking price. Don't take this for fact because I'm hearing it 2nd hand and don't know the source of the info, but a friend told me they heard the asking price could be three 1st round picks.

We’d definitely find out who’s wearing the pants in the family.

He has played his last game as a Seahawk, I don't need CBS to tell me. The writing was on the wall 2 weeks ago.

Do it, Jerry.

Somehow sign and trade Dak and add whatever draft picks are needed to get this done.

Could you imagine what Wilson would look like with all these weapons around him?
He’d look like Dak who led the NFL in the past 2 years ahead of Wilson.
