The stats don't show it but in 2016 he was just as big of a reason for our success as anyone.

Right. It was Linehan's one good coaching year as offensive coordinator (but also demonstrated his and Garrett's inability to adjust strategy). We let Beasley eat up one-on-one coverage in the slot because corners couldn't figure out if he was cutting inside or out. Teams were still worried about Bryant deep, so they left Beasley singled up. Late in the season, a few teams adjusted and bracketed him while giving Dez more one-on-one looks.

The next year, defenses started using the bracket coverage from the start, forcing Dez and Dak to beat them with more downfield throws ... and they couldn't connect. Dak didn't like throwing into tight coverage and injuries robbed Dez of his ability to win those one-on-ones without refining his route-running skills.

After Dez was cut, we tried to make Beasley a No. 1 receiver and surrounded him with nothing until we traded for Cooper as a No. 1. His numbers are a reflection of all of these issues not his ability.

Lmao Beasley would be WR4 here
Exactly. When he played for us he was arguably only the eighth best player on our offense. Of course he flourished in a system in which he was of higher value.

I love how people are trying to use the bills approached to him as validation to how he would have or could have been here. That's not how it works

He would have been the No. 3 receiver two years ago when we signed Cobb to replace him. And if we had signed Beasley to a long-term deal, I'm doubtful that we would have drafted Lamb.

I kept thinking that Beasley would be done in this league in no time,,,, good for the Beas to have survived as long as he has.
He has done well for himself.

Can we please throw in Randall Cobb, Amari Cooper, and Dez Bryant into the mix too since they also played with Dak and another team?

You act like Cole Beasley became a superstar after leaving dallas. He's a good player and has done pretty much what expected.

Beasley was never thought of as the no. 1 receiver, Dez left after the 2017 season and they tried to make Terrance Williams the no. 1 guy.
Beasley was the slot receiver with the occasional outside/deep route thrown in....

I don't think there was ever a plan for Williams to be the No. 1 guy. During the 2018 offseason, they worked on having Beasley run more deep routes because they wanted him to be a threat all over the field. They said they didn't plan to have a true No.1 but be more receiver by committee, but it seemed pretty clear to me that they wanted Beasley to be the top guy and tried to turn him into something he wasn't.

So the Cowboys planned on a 5-8 Beasley being more of a primary target than a 6-2 Williams?

I don't think so....

So explain why Copper numbers got better in Dallas than with the Raiders?
