Maybe if she did a sports show!
Never got the fascination of "Friends" - but I was over halfway through my 30s when the show first aired back in 1994. The show's concept wasn't created for people of my background or category to tune in anyway. But my opinion of that show applies to Prime Time TV regardless.

As does all the other national sports talk shows.
Yep. I’m not sure why more Cowboy fans don’t tune into local media. It’s all available online.

Don’t have to put up with this national drama with commentators who don’t have anything invested with the franchise or closer alliance .

Why would we listen from someone in NY or LA instead of Dallas who’s much closer to the situation?

There's been so much build-up over his contract situation that nothing Dak could do would ever be enough to justify his salary in the eyes of many.

I'm sick of hearing/reading about it. Both sides have been stubborn to the point of making me not care about the outcome. Fish or cut bait. Enough.

What else would we have to talk about ?

It definitely warrants the attention. Hottest topic currently in the league. At least until someone is arrested or beats up their GF.

You actually do agree with me. I say it will go away. What happens when a resolution is done?... until then, it is trending.
'Trending' - seems you are latching on to that buzzword. I view the contract impasse as another chapter in the ongoing saga of the Dallas Cowboys failing to return to being a contender for an NFL championship. Because of the franchise's history and its longstanding popularity, the Cowboys status in the league will remain a topic of discussion, just behind the teams that actually improve to become viable contenders. Before the Prescott contract situation, it was the competency of Jason Garrett being debated as the HC to get the job done after being annoited by Jones-- tethered with Romo as being the field general savior to lead the team back to playoff glory for a decade.
And it has all been orchestrated under the hybrid owner-GM.

That is why I don't watch the tv show or listen on the radio.
(But I occasionally tune in his FS1 show for a few minutes to feast my eyes on his co-host Joy Taylor.)
That's okay.
I'm one in the minority that Jennifer Anniston never stirred me with her looks or acting.

You and I have very similar taste, my friend. I vehemently agree with you on both counts

Holy crap, my man. Come up for air every once in a while. That was way wordier than it needed to be. The history aside, the Dak drama is trending but this story has a definitive shelf life. It has the potential to come to an abrupt end very soon. I think it will happen.

What he should have said , is that it is a lame and tired , and boring topic.
And that it doesnt matter, sign or dont sign cowboys wont get past the div round either way!
That would make jerry mad lol.He would be calling cowherd.

Dak and his dummy agent won't let it go away. They have to keep this out there to keep the pressure on Jerry. The single best thing that Jerry Jones can do for the NFL is to announce that no contract will be extended to Dak and that other teams are free to go sign him. Wish him luck and go get a QB in the draft and take the money and invest in defense. The stupidity of overpaying QB's needs to end. It's one position on a team of 57 people and paying based on the fact that someone else overpaid their QB is lunacy.

This is like Groundhog Day. After a year and a half, you know what his demands are. They haven’t changed. If you’re not willing to give him what he wants, let him go.

This negotiation is going on two years. It’s excruciating. Almost nothing about this franchise isn’t excruciating anymore.

We criticized Jerry for throwing money at whatever shiny object came along. Stephen takes the opposite approach, but it’s purely a reaction to his father. There’s no thought that goes into it either way. It’s all reactionary silliness.

"Come up for air...."___?
JK -- you post and comment here often enough to know my paragraph is a drop in the bucket compared to other CZ members who post pro & anti Prescott rants, contract scenarios, trade proposals, etc. that rival War And Peace excerpts.
Just stop with the "trending" label. All Cowboys fans want a resolution to the issue - whether Prescott remains the Cowboys starter or he moves on to greener pastures. Until it happens - a deal is done, either tag is applied and negotiations continue - threads will continue to appear here, the national sports media will continue to put give their two cents about the situation.
You posted that the it will "come to an abrupt end very soon. I think it will happen." I have no problem with your opinion about it. We will see.

If the Cowboys screw this up again and Dak ends up walking to another team to get his millions, the next trending topic will be "should Jerry Jones be stripped of his ownership?". I think that is a fair topic since he is doing it so poorly.

What if Dak walks to another team gets paid and never lives up to his contract? Should Jerry be stripped of his ownership then too?

The league modified the drug restrictions. And most likely the pandemic is effecting normal activity probably causing less opportunity for other illegal and suspect activity by players . But we still have several months until Camp and we could see things opening up by the summer.
