Daks agent is the guy doing both sides a disservice.
It’s all perspective. I’d want my legal representative to optimize my value. I’m not sure why more fans can’t embrace the process . The other players certainly do.

If the Cowboys screw this up again and Dak ends up walking to another team to get his millions, the next trending topic will be "should Jerry Jones be stripped of his ownership?". I think that is a fair topic since he is doing it so poorly.
What if Dak walks to another team gets paid and never lives up to his contract? Should Jerry be stripped of his ownership then too?
Pigs fly, Hell freezes over (did that happen last week in Texas?)
Through his hand in bringing FOX in to be an equal participant in broadcasting rights for NFL games (CBS, NBC, ABC); fostering company sponsorship leases with stadiums, and spearheading new stadium construction - with the franchises owning the facility outright___ The Jones Family is on equal footing with the Maras, Rooneys, Fords, Davises in the league hierarchy.
Irsay's and Synder's behaviors and transgressions have been glossed over (so far in the case of Daniel Snynder --stayed tuned). Jerral Wayne Jones (and his descendants) ownership is no way in jeopardy.

true, but there is no value in NO DEAL. Which is why its called "negotiations." It means neither side gets to call the shots and extort from the other.

There will be a deal eventually even if it’s not in Dallas. Unless you’re suggesting Daks career is over and he’s not at least signing the Tag.

lets not lose site of a HUGE factor in negotiations. I said this on another thread...Todd France just joined a new agency, and the promise of bringing over a HUGE CLIENT and signing of Dak Prescott was why they hired him. He cannot mess this up. It also hurts him if he fails. ALL sides need a win here. They all look bad right now.

no, not suggesting that.Just saying, it behooves all sides to get it done. Its counter productive to fail. EVERYONE will look bad.Which is why it will get done.

I agree. But he’s going to at least sign the Tag. And we’ll have a 38 million dollar QB. That’s pretty close to 40 which so many favs here are balking at,

Jethro, Son and the Cowboys will look the worst if they can’t get it done.

Jerry will get ripped WHATEVER he does.
Yes, but he’s being ripped for not getting a deal done. Has been since last year.

There’s a vocal minority on this site against paying Dak and a few troll like national numb nuts some fans actually watch but here locally I’d argue it’s almost unanimous our football idiots are dropping the ball not getting a deal done.

The only thing that would save our ownership from being nailed to the cross here locally if they fail to get him signed is if Prescott comes out and says he wants out of Dallas .

Or they don’t sign him, and he gets a freak injury. Or he signs elsewhere and flops. Or they sign him for 4 years, have a great draft, the defense improves, and they win 11 or more games...

Those are all after the fact playing Monday Morning QB.

The issue at hand is can the Cowboys sign their Franchise QB.

Have fans here even read some of the Cowboy beat writers in the local papers or listened in to local radio broadcast or tv anchors?

It’s all available online . They are all Cowboy fans not just hype artist on the national scene.

That’s anyone’s GUESS!
I understand but if you support Dak as our QB which most Cowboy fans do, at least here locally, then you expect a deal to get done. Unless of course Dak comes out and says he wants out of Dallas.

Jerry the narcists Jones is loving all this attention. Keeps his name in the news spin every cycle. Keeps Dallas relevant even when they haven't done anything to be relevant.

I don’t expect much of anything anymore, at least as far as to what length players will go to satisfy their egos. Rich is rich, and players turning down 35 million because market value says 38.5 is nothing more than silly pride,

No, it’s just business. And many fans don’t like the business side of professional sports.
