math doesn’t work.

RWilson making 30+ mill per year.

plus he’s on the wrong side of 30.

pass.
Cap hits my dude

Cowboys would only hypothetically pay him 19m this upcoming season and next if he was on the team.

Not a big fan of Wilson coming here at this stage of his career ,...... just draft a new quarterback and use a vet as the bridge

I did the upper Gauley once but I'm not a swimmer so while I enjoyed it. Just not my cup of tea. I have lots of friends that were raft guides. I grew up in the mountains near snow shoe region so not many rivers to raft.
I did a few upper trips then did the 2 day trip camping between the upper and lower. Good thing the lower is easier because we did some partying that night. I have a video of our trip. What a blast!

I think Wilson is the bomb but looking at our team potentially having a top ranked offense as is, I pass and re-focus on defense and o-line depth.

This is why I don't listen to this idiot anymore than I do Skippy. He's right on the cap hit, but that's about it. How do you get Wilson? They're not taking Dak. That would be stupid. I often wonder if he even believes what he says. Why would Seattle pay more to downgrade at quarterback? So that's off the table. How else do we get Wilson? Draft capital. Give them draft picks and then Dallas can't rebuild. Wilson's low cap hits would go to waste.

To be fair both had historically bad defenses this season yet Wilson with his arm alone still took his team 12-4 in a NFC West division that saw nearly 3 playoff teams this season.

The fact that he’s made the playoffs for nearly a decade straight in a blood bath NFC West division that’s seen every single divisional rival in a Super Bowl the past decade is extremely commendable.

this is despite having a consistently bottom 5-10 ranked roster for nearly half a decade

This is a cool story but it's dead wrong. The Seahawks started out with a bad defense but they got it together as the season wore on. They finished #15 in the league in scoring defense.. and held opponents to 3.9 yards per carry.. Meanwhile the Cowboys finished the season 28th in the league in scoring defense and gave up a whopping FIVE YARDS PER CARRY on the ground. Try this stat on for size.. The Cowboys gave up 2541 yards rushing in 2020.. That's over 1000 yards more than the Seahawks 1529 yards on the ground. Any attempt to equate the Cowboys defense to the Seahawks must be met with appropriate skepticism. That is not to say Russell Wilson is not great.. He absolutely is.. but let's not get carried away with the whole "one man team" narrative that starts floating out there about these QBs.

I also don't know how you rank Seattle as a "bottom 5-10 " roster with the guys they have had there in the last 5 years. In 2015 they had 5 pro bowlers on defense Wagner, Bennett, Chancellor, Thomas and Sherman and Wilson and Lockett on offense.. Then in 2016 Baldwin, Graham, Wilson on offense joined Thomas, Wright, Sherman and Bennett on defense? Then Graham, Baldwin and Wilson repeat in 2017 and Wagner, Thomas and Bennett repeat on defense.. Sorry that aint no bottom 5 roster. Not when you're putting 6-7 guy in the pro bowl and 2 or 3 of them on the all pro teams every year. They fell off the last 2-3 years but before that they were fielding a top 5 defense and 3 pro bowlers on offense. I think most teams in the actual bottom 5 would kill for that..

All valid points. I guess because I don’t watch Seattle Games I thought they were bad because first take would talk about it a lot.

I like Dak, but surely you should know with Russel Wilson under center we’d have made the playoffs every year from 2016-2020. Dallas has had the easiest division in the NFC since 2017

...I think the Russell Wilson talk is foolishness...Why would Wilson want to give up winning 12 games a year on average( +_ ) to come to Dallas...with our defense?...Only to be lucky just getting to 8 and 8 per season(+-.) And I dang sure wouldn't give up 3 first round picks...plus Dak...for him ...as I heard on the radio...anyway it's just offseason hype IMO, and I could never see it happening....I could see Dak leaving the Cowboys though...and possibly coming around twice a season and kicking Dallas's collective &%#@s.....P.S. JJ's an idgit!

Dallas with Wilson is a Superbowl team as we will also have Cap to improve the defense also.

Fantasyland. The same jokers who have been floundering for years still have to build a TEAM.

Wilson has one won SB, and it happened to be the same year his team had the #1 defense in the NFL. Some of you fool yourselves into believing another QB is the all the Cowboys need to win while ignoring every other weakness on the on roster, the coaching staff, and the front office.

It's not that simple, whether you like Dak or not. I wish it was, but it's not.

You have no idea what a difference an elite QB will have on our offense.
The days of 3 and outs and FG after FG will be gone as the weapons are all there waiting to be utilized.
Wilson will only cost 19 m against the cap which can get you at least 2 stud defensive players.
This team is mediocre as its leader and QB cannot score against teams with winning records till the game is lost.
Luck is needed now and a Jerry who will stick to his guns on not investing this team's future on tier 3 Prescott!
