Well, what kind of money did all the other QBs in his class actually make? I'm pretty sure that that number is going to come in way lower then any of the fan base would expect. I also think that the offer in front of Dak, right now, would prove to be better then any of those deals.

JMO
If so, what is Dak waiting for?

Every single loss from 2016 until the injury was solely on the defense? If you truly believe that your are the most delusional person on this board.

I will never understand how any of these "it's all on so and so" arguments keep coming up. There is no such thing and there never will be. Losses are on everybody and wins are on everybody. Still in that context we can certainly look and see when a player or a unit played well or played poorly. There is no denying that in some wins Dak has gotten away with playing poorly but still we won. It is also true that there has been losses when Dak has been very good but the defense or special teams let us down. In 2020 Dak led the offense to at least 31 points 4 times.. but The Cowboys lost two of those games.. I'm gonna go ahead and blame the defense for those and special teams and say the offense did its part. The same can be said in reverse for the Philly, Saints and New England games in 2019. The offense didn't show up but the defense kept us in the game. However let's not let the defense completely off the hook. The Cowboys scored 30 points or more 8 times in 2019 and won all those games.. And they lost every game that they failed to score 30. I'm sorry but demanding that the offense score 30 just to have a chance to win is not a reasonable standard.

For me it has always been about 21 points. If the offense gets to 21 then to me a good defense will make that stand up. The Cowboys got to 21 12 times in 2019.. and were 8-4 in those games. If I apply the same standard to the defense, which would mean holding the other team under 21 points they hit the mark 10 times in 2019. The Cowboys were 7-3 in those games. So by my reckoning the defense wasted 4 good games by the offense while the offense wasted 3 good games by the defense. If I do the same analysis for 2018 and 2017 I come up with the offense hitting 21 points 16 times with W/L record of 14-2 while the defense held the opponent to 21 or less 19 times with a W/L of 15-4. So in those two seasons I would argue that the defense was slightly better than the offense. Both in terms of hitting the mark of 21 points but also in terms of not wasting a good offensive performance. That dynamic has clearly shifted the last two seasons. We do have to allow for those six games without Zeke in 2017 at a time when the offense was firmly geared around him but the numbers don't lie. In 2017 and 2018 the defense was the better of the two units. We know in 2016 it was other way around just as we know that in 2019 and 2020 the offense was the superior unit by a wide margin. There can be no denying that we need to get them a lot closer in performance to accomplish anything. And I don't mean having them both be middle of the pack. We need both units to be legitimate top 10 units. And we can get by without the special teams fielding kickoffs at the one foot line and failing on fake punts leaving the other team with the ball already in scoring position. I will give Fassell and McCarthy a "Covid pass" for last season.. They need to get that crap fixed this year though.

Birria tacos are a great alternative to some of the lesser indulgences we tend to give up.

Well, what about 30+ ? Convenient how you left that out.

Some Dak hater probably

Most sites that give those kinds of stats only use 20 and 40 yards. You have a very serious reasoning problem if you think I'm a Prescott hater.

Tough crowd..

Actual NFL scouts are wrong all the time but I’m off once or twice and I get held to a higher standard.. Interesting.

Yeah man I really think the pro Dak crowd might be just as obsessed with you as they are with him lol.

CZ would not be CZ if the Dak love threads didn't stop even but for a day. So sad how many tie their existence to a football player.

You are in pretty much every one of these threads taking the anti. Is this an attempt at irony?

I’m a dak supporter but the people that argue his “stats” based upon last year are grasping a bit.

The first four weeks of the year... without the miracle comeback in Atlanta we would have been 0-4.

in several of those games while dak should be credited with bringing us back. He was at least part of the reason we were in a hole. In Atlanta he had a fumble and pick. In Seattle a pick before halftime. Against the browns the 2nd and 3rd quarter our o was non existent.

40 million a year he needs to be able to elevate his team... when the team isn’t as good or playing poorly in game. The elite guys can do that. If he gets paid... there is no more “blame the coach” “blame the defense”. It’s on him.

I think he can do it... he can lead this team. But it’s fair to question whether he’s worth 40 mil when he hasn’t won anything yet. That’s the qb position in the nfl fair or unfair.

First ever Goal Post Shifting Tracking Thread:facepalm:

No.1 - Dak played on the Most Talented Oline Ever KNOWN to Dak Haters

No.2 - Dink & Dak

No.3 - Dak Hasn't Won Anything

We should be able to get at least another 1000 Goal Post Shifting moments from the Dak Haters

To be honest, most of the ESPN on-air personalities, contributors, guest pundits, etc., lean toward siding with Prescott in this negotiation deadlock. They are all in total agreement the Cowboys dropped the ball not getting a new deal done halfway through his rookie contract, and are critical about how long the situation has been drawn out.

Of course, Dak could have proved his detractors wrong and proved he was a marquee quarterback when the challenges arose, but this "moving the goalpost" thing is much easier to shout.
Never mind that he didn't show up in important games and never showed he could make the Cowboys better when they needed a lift.
That's just an unfair expectation, I guess.

Let me know when Orlovsky stops stepping out of the endzone. Oh, and he probably still thinks that Wentz is the GOAT. So pardon me for not taking what he says seriously.
