Not talking Cowboys, nor contract, nor free agency, injury, cost or anything. Just sitting back and enjoying what's special about Dak and seeing how it all started in college at Mississippi State.

Would hate to lose Dak and see him play for anybody else but the Cowboys, especially since the word is out he is healing well and expected to be up to 100% by April. Do whatever it takes to remain a Cowboy, Dak!

Most of us would like to keep him, but it’s just sad how his agent has decided to use him as a pawn to win over more players and force concessions from the owners in general.

If we’re honest - Dak haters and slobberers alike, Todd France never wanted a contract for his player. He’s playing to get him to free agency on two consecutive franchise tags. He cares not that his player has a solid supporting cast in Dallas, or that he can make a ton of money on endorsements in Dallas that he can’t make elsewhere.

Most of us have just been waiting for Dak himself to step in and say to his agent, “Enough! Get it done! I want to be a Cowboy for life!”

But it seems like more and more that’s just not going to happen. I’m reading between the lines a bit too with what I’ve been seeing his brother Tad write, and we know how tight he is with his family.

I know you love him OP, but I think you’re going to have to come to terms with the fact that he’s leaving - probably in 2022 but maybe even in 2021.

I said it when they drafted dak, and I will say it again:

the fact that Dak at one point had Mississippi State number one is one of the more incredible things I can think of in recent college football history. I know it wasn’t long, but if my memory serves me correctly he played with exactly one other NFL player on the offensive side (some 6th round running back). That is pretty incredible to think about.

Nope. Can’t be. He doesn’t elevate his team or make anyone around him better. I’ve heard it here and it has to be true. I mean. Stats be damned. It’s the eye test that matters

That’s one of the most impressive things to me. None of his receivers got drafted.

The thing about Tad that worries me is this:

If he is that comfortable talking the way he does on social media then what does Dak say in private? Does Dak allow Tad to talk about the fanbase like this? Does Dak feel the same way?

It all just rubs me the wrong way all the while Dak is trying to bankrupt the franchise.

Yes, it's the evil agent and not his client.

Good stuff. No question but what Dak had an outstanding college career!

He was like a man among boys in that video. I'm hoping he's retained. ;)

U. of Central Florida also climbed quite a bit up even as they were (possibly) snubbed for quite some time. It's not that unheard of.

You are also saying Dak did it w/o any defense?

Edit...I went back and check some of that 2014 Miss State/Ole Miss game...and looked to me like Dak had a pretty good offense....and defense too.

Jerry & Stephen' 2nd biggest mistake of the past decade was not signing the kid a few years ago. Their biggest mistake? Keeping Garrett as long as they did.

When has Jerry ever not signed a player that he wanted on the team? Give me one example in the 30+ years that he has owned the franchise. Jerry caved on Aikman, Emmitt, Deion, and more recently Zeke, Jaylon, the list goes on.

The player is not signed because the player's agent doesn't want him to sign or Jerry doesn't want to sign him, and we know it's not the latter.

Yes, it's the evil agent and not his client.

Substitute "greedy" with "evil" and you nailed it.
