Yeah and just got a SB ring in TB. Very productive year last season and seems to have controlled himself since his early years. Last season at DT had 6 sacks and helped a TB run defense.
well gotta admit i've not heard much about him since then so glad he calmed down.

Sure, but so was Dallas taking Haley, with his history of team disruption, and didn't that work out?

Teams can and do take risks, I believe it'd be hard to find SB winning teams that didn't take risks.

And leadership has it's own rewards, did you see Watt's press conference where he talked about player effort, etc? I would be willing to bet some of the other Cardinals won't want to risk Watt's wrath if they don't put out max effort, small thing but lots of small things go towards building a SB champ..

Like I said, we'll see how it works out, I'd not be surprised if it turned out well. Or poorly, either is a possibility...
Haley was in his prime.Dallas got him when he was starting to peak. WATT is no Charles Haley.

Money motivation only ? Dunno how are you guys figuring that ? Watt is putting himself in position to have his cake and eat it too.
He can help Kyle Murray's team become more of a winner and playoff contender. He is joining and helping out Chandler Jones on a team that desperately needs defensive help.
And he's choosing a team that is not having the chaos that is clearly in Houston.
He's playing it on His Term, ..not Fans' terms.
fair enough. Lets see what happens, then we can judge. We are fans, we do what we do.

That's not my point, it's that teams take risks. Whether that be injury problems or emotional problems.

Is Watt a good risk?

We'll see...

Love JJ for what he’s done on and off the field, but the net of this is, the players always go where the money is greatest. That stuff about going to the best opportunity for a ring is just smoke.

True but then would not consider Cards a bad place. Looking at the young talent on that team

I thought JJ was wanting to win a SB, he signed for too much money imo.
He may help them if he can stay healthy, which is doubtful .

Well, they are a team seemingly on tge rise, but I doubt they’re a serious Lambardy Trophy contender in the next 2 years which is the term of JJ’s contract. They are probably as likely as Pittsburgh, though. The Cards’ issue is they are arguably in the toughest NFC division, maybe even the NFL. I could see them not even making the playoffs the next 2 years.

Green Bay made way more sense, but maybe the Pack wasn’t interested regardless of the rumors.

I think Seahawks right now have issues of their own and Rams who knows. I think the NFC West is wide open.
