Fans have to stop taking things personally. Dak has always wanted top dollar. He hired France for a reason. I would tag and trade him or just give him the non exclusive tag. The Football Team will give him the contract he wants and I will take the two first round picks from them and rebuild the team.

And with the third pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Cowboys select .....

This isn't going to go over well with the Joneses. Whatever bad things you want to say about Jerry, he treats his players with a lot more loyalty than other owners. And he doesn't take well to this sort of negotiating tactic. If the Cowboys were hesitant three days ago, this probably pushes them into a no.

What incentive does Dak have in signing the tag just to go to a team that will have to trade draft picks for him? I'm asking. I've heard conflicting things on this. If its me I'd rather go to a team and have them keep their draft picks.

Hard to believe anything you read even when there are direct quotes much less without any. It sure is getting smoky in here though.

I know for a fact he's demanding that contract and has made several disparaging remarks about Charlotte.

Regarding Dak's contract demands, when has he been "realistic" in negotiating?

At the end of last year, when he almost agreed to that $34.5 million contract. Unfortunately, the 5-year deal didn't suit his druthers.

Close but no cigar for him. The latest report of his agent demanding a close 2nd to Mahomes' contract is not to ever be accepted.

If the Football Team pays him what he wants he will probably sign the contract. I think that is one team I know that would give Prescott the money he wants. Nothing is guaranteed but a team offers 43+ season it will be tough to say no.

We need to make a list of all these guys wanting to give 40 million to dak incase the cowboys do do this. so we can remind them about what this did to the team over the next 5-7 years.

Well, when Dak hits the bricks I'm not going to miss his little cha cha dance before games where he's trying to look cool for the fans and the camera.

As far as a college education goes, there is a difference between "smart" and "common sense", and it appears Dak has no common sense if he actually loves Dallas and wants a SB and wanting all the money he can get to satisfy his greed and putting the rest of the team in jeopardy because all they will be able to afford are scrubs. Yeah, that is real "smart". I hope JJ has the "common sense" and let Dak ride his friggen horse out of Dallas.

Last year Dallas offered 30M AAV. Dak asked for 40M AAV. They met in middle at 35M AAV then fought over structure, GTD and years.

If the initial ask this year is for less than 45M AVV that is actually a quite good sign.

DAL offered at least their final 35M AVV so you meet in middle at 40M AAV and get the deal done this week.
The "deadline" this year is all on the Cowboys side.

Only a fool would pay Dak $40M AAV.

Smart is not a reflection of consumed knowledge.

Schooling (which is not the same as real education), does not necessarily impart knowledge. Schooling, can actually decrease your knowledge, especially these days.

So, no, schooling does not make you smarter.
Sure it does Karen

If I am the GM, I am not trying to get Prescott signed, I am on the phone talking to every GM with a QB issue about their level of interest in Prescott. I let Prescott and his agent know this is now my plan, to tag and trade him and the discussions are all about that now and signing him as the DC QB is now over. I agree to keep them in the loop and are there some preferences where he wants to play?

This is no longer about the marriage, it is about the divorce and who gets custody of the QB.

Ask yourself this. How many contracts have been done with the GM saying up front that the player holds all the cards, leverage? How many GM's are overly effusive in their praise of a player, even when he screws up? Do they even say anything about the players? Ever?
Good thing you’re not the GM. You’re as clueless as a rock.

No one is trading jack squat for Dak with his idiotic salary demands and can’t even pass a physical. Why is this common sense so hard for people to understand?

Jerry: What will you give me for Dak?
GM: Can he pass a physical right now?
Jerry: Not yet.
GM: Does he still want $40M/year?
Jerry: Yes
GM: ..... click
