you won't get that but if you can get more than a 3rd (which is what you will get after 2021 as a compensatory pick if he leaves), then you have to at least weigh the option. If you only get offered a 3rd, then certainly you keep for 2021 & just take you comp pick.
I think we can get a first.

Why wouldn't we be able to?

Gallup is cheaper than Cooper was when we traded for him, Gallup has performed better than Cooper with the Raiders, and Gallup has no off the field concerns. Gallup continues to get better and always makes clutch plays when we need them.

Personally, I'd look to trade Lamb before Gallup. I think Gallup has the potential to be better than Lamb or Cooper.

I actually think there were many games last year where Gallup was our best and most consistent option

Come on Corso really? You think that they or any other team cares about fan reaction, this isn’t the movie Draft Day. Example, 95% of the fans wanted Garret gone for 5/6 years and did the react. Everyone and their grandmother has wanted Crawford cut since forever. Remember the Golden Cock. Nah they don’t listen!
You're right.

Mr Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response was there anything that could even be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.

I love Gallup. I became a fan while scouting him for the draft. Can you find a team that is would prefer a proven commodity and is willing to trade a pick or player to get him? probably. But there are just such a supply of receivers that giving up a premium pick isn't likely. Maybe mid season a team believes they have a legit shot at a title is willing to pay a little more before the trade deadline. But I can't see anyone giving up a first.

Gallup is a good WR who is going to be in line for an extension. Given that he is a luxury on this team with Lamb and Cooper, Dallas will likely let him test the market and he'll be overpaid by some team like the Lions and we'll lose him for nothing in return other than a compensatory pick. If we can get something now within the first 3 rounds or in the form of a S/CB/DL upgrade, I'd say jump on it.

yes I know..but IMO maybe we should look at trading him before it expires.

We 100% should.

But..

You don't give him away.

We should get a compensation pick regardless I would think.

Lol Why would the official account tweet this? Clowns.

They kind of have to unless they can extend him now for cheap.

He doesn't warrant the franchise tag next year, and they're not going to pay both him and Lamb massive money.

If they don't trade him, he just walks after this season for nothing.

Because he only has one year left on his deal and he's not a #1 receiver. C'mon.

And if you think Gallup is better than Lamb, you need to learn some football. It's not even remotely close.

They SHOULD have traded him last year to a playoff team like Green Bay that needed receivers, but the Joneses don't have that much foresight.

He's not a #1WR, no team is giving up a 1st for a #2.

I wish they'd find a team with a D player in the same situation and swap players. The Cowboys do better trading for players than drafting or signing them in FA.
